Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Washington

The place was dirty food trash on the floor this particular day a lot of young people were working employees weren't wearing masks 😷 talking over customers food cashier adding toppings to customers food and handling their bread didn't change her gloves after ringing on the register or after handling other customers food left and thought about it called from outside and asked for a manager a young man tried to pretend to be one untill I asked for his name he didn't give it to me called me Boss laughing and talking amongst each other finally the assistant manager akir I think answered explained what happened told him I'm on chemo and have to worry about germs told him about the unsanitary cashier he was very nice and polite he apologized he did say mask were optional although he wears his he remade the sandwich told me I can keep or throw away the other one I appreciate the young man however the cashier who was unsanitary seemed upset about my complaint of her and questioned what was I going to do with the first sandwich 🥪 no remorse or anything leaning on the counter running her mouth probably won't go back to this jersey Mike's although I live in the area the immature young people the non cleanliness of the store and non food safety practices won't allow me...

I have to apologize because I actually wrote an inaccurate review regarding this business. I confused them with Charley's Cheesesteaks and Wings and ended up writing the wrong review for the wrong business. Thus, let me give my accurate take regarding my visit to this establishment.

This may have been the second or third time I've been to this location but I have visited in a while since I dont live in the area. I've been to the Ritchie Station location prior to this DC location and I have to say, I was thoroughly satisfied on all my visits.

The cheeseteaks that I've gotten have been really good. The meat was plentiful and the seasonings in combination with the cheese was in point. It wasn't dry like other establishments and I felt like my money was well spent when I was done. I appreciate someone reaching out to me when they saw that the review I wrote before (which, again, was supposed to be for an entirely different establishment), did not meet my expectations. I'll definitely be back in the future to try some of their other options. You should check them out, too when you're close by. Let me know...

I went to Jersey Mikes before i went to work. First they open at 10am. When they open I ordered a steak and cheese and I was told I had to wait because they had to clean the grill....why wasnt it cleaned before yall closed the night before???? Second they lay the bread on the counter with out paper and right where they was making the sandwiches was a slicer machine and under and around the machine was left over food and straight dirt and when we said something about it they young man cleaned the mess up and proceeded to make sandwiches with the same gloves he had on when he picked up the wet rag and moved the machine and cleaned under the machine. After I saw that I said I will never go to another Jersey Mikes. I work in the cleaning industry I notice stuff others may not notice but when you are in the food business you have to be sanitized and clean. I hope this message reaches the owner because at the rate they are going there going to make...
