When I first walked into the Washington Civic Center I knew that it was meant to be my venue.
The building itself is stunning but what really made the Civic Center stand apart was the venue coordinator, Charlotte! She was so easy to work with and offered suggestions and recommendations. I genuinely felt like | was talking to someone that was a friend when working with Charlotte.
I was a DlY bride and have lots of family from out of town, we visited the venue multiple times and Charlotte was always quick to assist with setting up times to tour.
The venue has lots of amenities and offers packages that suit small and large weddings! We were able to add on items to the smaller package and also had our linens done through the venue. There is no preferred vendor list which is something I found to be a must when searching, they do have suggestions if needed.
I am extremely grateful for the Civic Center and would highly recommend it to others interested in having a wedding in the...
Read moreWe used the Washington Civic Center all day Saturday May 1, 2021 for our daughter’s wedding and reception. Working with Reanne Mayo, center director, weeks ahead of time made the event all that much easier to prepare. Reanne was gracious in letting us use the entire space of the center from early morning until 10:00 that evening. She made sure there was a room for the ladies and the bride to relax and get ready before the big event. She coordinated with the decorator and the caterer to make sure the center was decorated and laid out in a manner which would facilitate a beautiful wedding and a nice meal after. The band had plenty of space in which to set up on stage and was obscure until it was time for the music to dance to and enjoy could begin. The Washington Civic Center is a perfect place for such an event. It’s large enough to handle several hundred people and tables and dance space and has all the charm an old train station can provide as a back drop for this...
Read moreWe had our wedding here on 11/6/21 and it was everything I ever dreamed of. This place is so beautiful and we love that it use to be an old train station. It has such a rustic feel with the wood floors and brick walls. It was exactly what we were looking for in a venue. But as beautiful as this place was, I can say without a doubt the biggest reason we booked our wedding here was because of ReAnne. That woman knows her stuff and as soon as I met her, it felt like we had known each other for years. She was so easy to talk to and was BEYOND helpful with everything from the beginning to the day of. I can't thank her enough for everything she did. And her team was just as awesome and helpful as her. If you're looking for a place to have your wedding or an event, the Washington Civic Center is the place to have it. I promise you...
