Major’s — Restaurant in Washington

I've ordered from here in the past, maybe 3 years ago. I recently ordered from here and it was the worst ever. The pepper steak was bland, uncooked steak (looked like a pale brown and very rubbery), a plethora of onions with a few peppers and a tiny box of white rice. I had a bad feeling about the pepper steak, because of its texture. This needs to be taken off their menu- it was horrible. I tried frying it longer and the craziest thing, it did not brown more, it was still rubbery. So now I'm wondering if it was steak at all. The shrimp fried rice was much better, but nothing to give more than 1 star for. Very disappointed. It's obvious with so many complaints, they do not care, or they just don't pay attention to...

Ordered the chicken lo mein combo plate. Menu said no fried rice added for this dish. Got my container and it's a small heap of lo mein on top of a huge bed of nondescript yellow rice (not fried). Flavors are nothing special. Egg roll had shrimp in it and I explicitly noted in the comments I had a shellfish allergy. I'm very lucky I cut into it first to double check. On top of that, they have a ton of loiterers outside their restaurant blocking doors, and cashier spoke the most broken English I've heard in this city in a very long time. I asked if the egg roll had shrimp, and she couldn't even answer my question because of the language barrier....

I used to love Major's pre lock down. I have moved away and I order now. They are horrible now. They ignore order notes. I like hot oil. They don't give it. I don't like mumbo. I tell them to keep it. I don't want fries or rice, but they make you order one or the other. I choose rice and get old raggedy fries. The shrimp was mushy in my mei fun.
