Chipotle, is usually a great place to grab an awesome-tasting burrito. Today, I purchased my absolutely favorite... a chicken burrito, along with many extras. Of course, there is a reason for having many extras; unfortunately, portions are pretty much never the same, as some servers like to, "shake the spoon" especially when you ask - for example - a mix of white and brown rice.
I've tried this multiple times to test my theory. My results have been pretty consistent. If I order white rice by itself, I usually get a hearty portion of rice, but, when asking for half white and brown rice, I always get less total rice, than asking for just one type... this goes the same for the meat. Then, if I ask for more rice, or meat, etc. (because I hardly received any) they try to charge me for a double portion, when I'm- in actuality - getting what should be a regular size portion.
I really don't get this whole, shaking the spoon bit. I mean... I'm paying, and you have more than enough to go around. I'm not asking for extra and not wanting to pay for the extra, just the proper portion; unless having a total of rice, equal out to approximately 3 spoons full (the regular spoon you would use for eating soup, or cereal) is considered a proper portion...
With that, I will say, my chicken burrito did taste amazing. My 3 star review isn't based on the flavor, but on portion. If portion was proper, then it would be 5 stars. But, because its not, I evened it out to 3 stars.
I feel I must also mention, that not every employee does this, but if I had to fraction it out, I'd have to say, 3 out of 5 servers, do in fact, "shake the spoon." If there are any other individuals out there that this is happening to, please add a comment...
Read moreVisit: 01/18/19 around 8:30 pm When waiting in line, I noticed how burnt and dirty grill was. Surprisingly, a girl then placed meat on the dirty grill. I had to ask for my large tortilla on the side 3 times. I did not receive receipt. Came home and tasted the food, it was completely burnt. Drove back to return the food. When I expressed my thoughts to Kailah, she said the grill is malfunctioning. I looked at the grill behind her which had fresh meat cooking on it. I told her it is not malfunctioning, it was not cleaned properly before putting a new set of meat on there; that is not rocket science. I showed her how the other 2 workers were standing on the line as if they had nothing to do and the counters where fully dirty. She said nothing and quickly handed me a refund receipt as if I was bothering her. I drove all the way to Heritage Trace Chipotle to place another order. It was a good experience there despite how busy it was. Do not appreciate how Kailah acted as if it was not a big deal. As my family always eat at Chipotle mainly! This is the very reason I drove past more than 10 fast food chains on my way to the other Chipotle and could have easily opt for something else. I do not feel appreciated at that location and will be searching for other food chains similar to Chipotle near me that respect their customers and prioritize...
Read moreRecently went there to get dinner for me and my wife. I paid with a $50 dollar bill and received change of around 26 dollars. I went back 1 minute later because I forgot to grab a bag of chips. When I went to pay the cashier said she could not accept the 5 dollars I handed her, which she had literally given me no less than 1 minute before hand. When I asked her what the problem with the 5 dollars was, she said that it seemed counter fitted. I feel like I was justified to then ask why she would give me a supposedly counter fitted bill when I first got my change. She started backtracking and said “I’m not saying it’s counter fitted”. I said ”Well then why won’t you accept it as payment? You gave me the bill as change to start with” I’m not an expert in counter fitted bills but now I feel like I could have received fake change from the get go. So what makes me upset is that they can check for cash payment to make sure it’s real but not the patrons change??? Should I report to police as suspected wrong doing ??? I never leave bad reviews but when this happens to you and the manager acts like I’m the one doing something wrong it really makes you feel taken...
