McDonald's.... what can I say? This particular McDonald's at this location is decent only because of location to where I live, that's honestly why I gave it 1 out of the 2 stars. The other star is for the food. I will say the food, especially lunch, least for me, I do get warm, fresh food. Typical wait of 5 to 10 minutes even on a busy day, and fries have come out blazing hot. And the burgers have come out warm. Tis the reason for the second star. However... why not more stars? Because of the atmosphere. I understand the location is Waterbury, but with what's happening around the restaurant is not Waterburys' fault. The lack of responsibility the staff is doing is full on McDonald's, not just the location this McDonald's is at. I understand there is a rise in homelessness, I understand this, however when ordering through drive-through, I've had them come up to my car, right as a I pull up, and beg for money. I've had them follow me around the store through drive-through after getting my paid meal, and beg me again for food. I've had folks ask me, as they're standing at the door at the end of the drive-thru line, right by the second window. Now the employees come in and out that door to bring people their food that are waiting, and say nothing to these folks. I've had to pull in the drive-thru reserve spots to wait for food, and have had the homeless bombard me there. Still nothing is said to them. When I've made remarks in regards to certain folks, I get told "We've told them to leave, they won't" Welp. Maybe the lack of seriousness is a problem in why they're not leaving and contine to linger. I've been homeless myself, I understand the lack of money for food. But No is NO. I've had them ask me IN the restaurant itself. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. I've seen them use it almost like a warming shelter. This is a public restaurant yes, but it quite uncomfortable to eat your food when you have eyeballs staring into your soul as you take a bite of burger. I've bought folks food, of course I have. I buy the quiet ones food, who don't ask, who don't stare at you, like it's your responsibility to do so. Those are the folks I know that are hungry. Folks I've never seen before. I've seen days straight, weeks straight the SAMME people at this McDonald's day in, day out, continue to solicit and beg, he'll had one get angry because I've said no to helping. The employees are very sweet if your a customer, heck even if you bring up the homeless problem, you can see the annoyance across their face and understanding, but somethings got to be done about it. On 8/28/2021 ordered a reasonably sized order and sadly received a undercooked and very bloody double quarter pounder with cheese and bacon ( without bun ) and 2 undercooked Deluxe chicken sandwiches 1 spicy and the 2nd original. Sadly this is unexceptable as the food was for children / teenagers that are inexperienced when it comes to proper food prep and edible food at that and overall rely on their parents / guardians for proper guidance to notice when a chain as large as McDonald's accepts this unexceptable behavior and promotes managers such as Evee who allow this unexceptable behavior to continue without taking action on shift.
On 8/29/2021 went back to McDonald's this time only to order a Large Iced Coffee light & sweet with caramel. The coffee received had no cream, minimal sugar if any and tasted burnt as can be. Unfortunately for the 2nd time the Manager Evee again was onshift and again no action was taken to correct the shifts inability make a correct order. And what was very sad after seeing me a 2nd time as a customer with a unsatisfactory order the Manager Evee took no initiative to make amendment and correct the problem to retain a customer.

On 06/11/23 at 8:26 & 8:54 pm I ordered in the app & they claim my 1st order for sodas, $2.77, didn't go through but my mcflurry order for $3.89 did.
I asked to be refunded the $2.77 & I was refused because they said we can't refund through the app. I asked for my two cups I paid for, I was refused, I gave the order number, they said that order number doesn't exist. I asked to see a manager I got the common lie she's not here, I asked for a number & I was told it's there write it yourself, can I have something to write with & paper, they walked away & ignored me. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
These workers lack respect, they're dishonest & they don't care about giving customers what they pay for. I wouldn't care but don't tell me I'm lying when I'm showing you my app with the order number right there in big bold font with date & time stamp & payment information.
The manager isn't & doesn't care either. She never called me & everytime I asked for her I get nothing.
Next step is contacting Trefz, I either want my sodas I paid for or my $2.77...
