Pontiac Lake Inn — Restaurant in Waterford Township

Unsure of how the food or drinks are because I chose to leave before even being served.

Upon being carded, I let the bartender know it was a military ID so it's a bit different. She asked if I had a state ID, I said no but that is a federal ID. She then asked, with plenty of attitude, on how I joined if I didn't have an ID.

After pointing out where the birthdate is, she asked what it said bc it is a little difficult to read, I stated my birthday and said do you need a little more lighting, but was received with more attitude.

This is the ID use at every bar, club and establishment I go to and I have never received that kind of attitude, nor have I ever once been questioned how I was able to join the Military.

Encouraging Military members to skip this establishment.

This was on June 7th at around 11-1130. While our IDs do not have physical signatures (because they are electronic), MCL 436.1701 (8) outlines the acceptable IDs in the sale of alcohol, and military IDs are included.

If following an establishments policy not to accept it, I would have understood, but it was the bartenders entire handling of the situation I am upset with. The fact she responded to me not having a state ID with, "how did you even join then?" was highly inappropriate.

I have never left a poor review in my life, and I just hope that other Military members will not have this...

Glad I gave this a second try for their burger. I like to find the small bars that have the great burgers. The second time I tried this establishment, patrons kept to themselves and I was able to enjoy my burger in peace.

The first time I went here, the food was great & enjoyable , but the clientele definitely gave me a bad impression of the place. Drunker than a skunk or higher than a kite, not sure which one, but the sloppy, rude guy who came to sit next to me announced to me that he was an ex of the bartender's daughter. It's unfortunate that the staff doesn't keep an eye on or identify the troublemakers that come into the place. He was actually trying to share my food !!!

This is a small local hole in the wall bar with a covered patio. Two pool tables inside and and a Fabulous Burger. They offer a half pound or a full pound burger and offer all the fixings for it. Did I say they have...

The food is great and the employees are really nice but the service is ridiculously slow, and it's always when the manager is there. I don't understand how this continues to happen. I've bit my lip time and time again, but the last time I visited, it wasn't busy, and it took at least 15 minutes afer I sat at the bar for someone to address me. After I was done eating it took 15-20 minutes to get my bill, then after it was finally given to me, it litterally took another 15-20 minutes for someone to come back to me and I was about to explode. Everytime I'm there Tiffany is zooming around but she can't serve and It's ridiculous. Yesterday I was hungry and I drove right past your location because I figured it would take too long to get service . It's an on going joke inside the bar about the slow service and it's unfortunate.
