Coming here was a let down primarily because there was barely any of the baked goods available except for four muffins and six cookies. Everything else was sold out and no more was being made to replenish the empty trays in the display. My original reason for coming here was to order some coffee and a small bite to eat. But considering the situation, I ended up ordering something completely different. My order: - Fruit Smoothie - Blended Frappe The fruit smoothie was okay at most. The menu did not show the available flavors so I asked the man taking my order what was available. He said peach, strawberry, and a few other flavors. I then ordered a peach strawberry, but I asked for there to be more peach than strawberry. He responded with he cannot do that and can only offer one fruit per smoothie. Then he hit a few buttons on the register's screen and walked away for a few seconds. When he came back he said he could make the smoothie with both fruits. It was strange. The décor in here is a cool concept, but it needs to be redesigned. The assortment of model cars and stuffed animals gives a "teenager's room" vibe. For a café and bakery, they should be more precise with the the atmosphere inside so it does not give that clutter feel. Based on my experience, I cannot give a recommendation for High Octane Café and Bakery.

Delighted I found this local cafe in metro-det! Their staff is very friendly and welcomes every single customer that walks in. I also find it very professional they are always keeping their shop looking top-notch. That really brings continual positive energy and vibes into the shop. They are known for the cookies and the stuffed pretzel-buns that are made with fresh ingredients. I was very tempted to get a couple of pretzel buns since all of them sounded so delish- cheeseburger, chicken alfredo, and even mac-n-cheese. I opted for a Nitro coffee and their cheeseburger pretzel-bun and some of their house cookies/treats. The pretzel-bun seriously hit the spot! On the outside, it's what you would expect from a pretzel- salty and soft. Inside, it was filled with gooey cheddar and all the deliciousness from a cheeseburger. The meat was seasoned perfectly and everything complemented each other, making every bite just as delicious as the first. I forgot to ask what their house sauce that came with the pretzel-bun but it did add another level of flavor, which was awesome. Public parking, plenty of indoor seating, drive-thru available, and they occasionally have auto events! What a cool concept. Can't wait to visit again soon!

If you want to try a new bakery I would check out this one. Came in later Saturday morning, they weren’t busy at all and the staff member at the counter was very friendly. I spent $35 on two stuff bagel sandwiches, 4 cookies, and a vanilla latte. I was honestly surprised at the cost but the quality of the sandwiches themselves were really nice. They had a big variety of drinks to choose from as well. I ordered the spicy bagel sandwich, and it was large and filling. The spicy level was decent for anyone who likes spice but has a low tolerance for it. The dough for the sandwich itself reminded me less of a bagel and just really nice baked bread stuffed with eggs and meat inside. Not so much the same chew you expect to get out of a bagel. My brother ordered the pepperoni stuff bagel which he also enjoyed. The sauce served on the side is a nice touch and good to eat the extra bread with, when you’re done with the filling. The cookies were also good. Soft and a nice chew. I tried oatmeal, chocolate chip, banana and pistachio. All of them hit on their flavor profiles. My latte was average. I did have more foam than I would have preferred but in taste it was nice.

I’ve been coming to high octane for the car shows they have and they have even used a picture of one of my cars to advertise for one of the shows recently and I have always had a very wonderful time. The food was always good and the atmosphere was always great and I cannot get enough of those Oreo stuffed cookies, however this weekend was a different story. For the first time I was able to drag my girlfriend to high octane on Saturday (she’s not really a car person)and we were one of the first to arrive and we rushed in to get in line early before anybody really showed up, she went though the shirts and found a couple she liked so me being the man I said get them. So we got to the counter and began to order and she’s very limited to what she can eat due to a very serious health condition and she ordered a breakfast burrito minus all the meat egg and cheese only vegetables and that’s where we began with the problems. The person running the counter said he had to ask if they can make it cause of the car show which we understand and he went into the back and immediate came out with a no because they were to busy but we were one of 6 people there so I asked if he could ask again and explain the situation I even said I would offer a $20 tip plus the $40 in shirts I was about to buy,so he told me to wait down at the other end of the counter while he asked again. He came out a couple seconds later after hearing some loud talking in the back and went back to the register and never said anything to me then about a minute later one of the owners comes out flipping out on that kid saying how we are not getting that burrito no matter what and very angry and told the kid off about then stormed in the back meanwhile I was left without anyone saying anything to me or even trying to offer any kind of solution or anything so we put the shirts back and I got my Oreo stuffed cookies and left. I just could not believe a well established business owner would kinda lose it like that and not offer any type of solution or explanation or anything. So we walked a little ways down the road to get something for her. Just a little flabbergasted on how the Whole...

I want to start by saying I used to be a regular at this place when I lived in the area. My husband and I came weekly. We loved their breakfast burrito and stuffed bagels. And the house sauce was to die for. We moved a couple cities over so stopped coming as much but would still make the 25 minute drive every once in a while because we loved it. Then things changed. I was greeted with rude employees who made it seem like I was a headache for calling in an order. Every single time a girl who answered the phone was rude and really made me feel uncomfortable. Today was the last straw, who ever is taking orders in 7.2.22 which was the same girl who has been rude to me the last couple times officially lost a customer. She talks to you like you are an inconvenience and that she cannot believe you would even ask for a “custom order” which all I tried to get was a Bacon Egg and Cheese bagel. But she answered with “umm we’re not doing custom orders” in one of the rudest tones I have ever heard. I drive almost 30 mins for High Octane and that’s how you’re going to talk to me? Absolutely not. I will never be back to this establishment and you can thank the girl who answers the phone for that one.

Also, as a business you don’t need to take a public political stand on things. It makes people who don’t agree with you question...
