I’ve been coming to high octane for the car shows they have and they have even used a picture of one of my cars to advertise for one of the shows recently and I have always had a very wonderful time. The food was always good and the atmosphere was always great and I cannot get enough of those Oreo stuffed cookies, however this weekend was a different story. For the first time I was able to drag my girlfriend to high octane on Saturday (she’s not really a car person)and we were one of the first to arrive and we rushed in to get in line early before anybody really showed up, she went though the shirts and found a couple she liked so me being the man I said get them. So we got to the counter and began to order and she’s very limited to what she can eat due to a very serious health condition and she ordered a breakfast burrito minus all the meat egg and cheese only vegetables and that’s where we began with the problems. The person running the counter said he had to ask if they can make it cause of the car show which we understand and he went into the back and immediate came out with a no because they were to busy but we were one of 6 people there so I asked if he could ask again and explain the situation I even said I would offer a $20 tip plus the $40 in shirts I was about to buy,so he told me to wait down at the other end of the counter while he asked again. He came out a couple seconds later after hearing some loud talking in the back and went back to the register and never said anything to me then about a minute later one of the owners comes out flipping out on that kid saying how we are not getting that burrito no matter what and very angry and told the kid off about then stormed in the back meanwhile I was left without anyone saying anything to me or even trying to offer any kind of solution or anything so we put the shirts back and I got my Oreo stuffed cookies and left. I just could not believe a well established business owner would kinda lose it like that and not offer any type of solution or explanation or anything. So we walked a little ways down the road to get something for her. Just a little flabbergasted on how the Whole...
Read moreI want to start by saying I used to be a regular at this place when I lived in the area. My husband and I came weekly. We loved their breakfast burrito and stuffed bagels. And the house sauce was to die for. We moved a couple cities over so stopped coming as much but would still make the 25 minute drive every once in a while because we loved it. Then things changed. I was greeted with rude employees who made it seem like I was a headache for calling in an order. Every single time a girl who answered the phone was rude and really made me feel uncomfortable. Today was the last straw, who ever is taking orders in 7.2.22 which was the same girl who has been rude to me the last couple times officially lost a customer. She talks to you like you are an inconvenience and that she cannot believe you would even ask for a “custom order” which all I tried to get was a Bacon Egg and Cheese bagel. But she answered with “umm we’re not doing custom orders” in one of the rudest tones I have ever heard. I drive almost 30 mins for High Octane and that’s how you’re going to talk to me? Absolutely not. I will never be back to this establishment and you can thank the girl who answers the phone for that one.
Also, as a business you don’t need to take a public political stand on things. It makes people who don’t agree with you question...
Read moreComing here was a let down primarily because there was barely any of the baked goods available except for four muffins and six cookies. Everything else was sold out and no more was being made to replenish the empty trays in the display. My original reason for coming here was to order some coffee and a small bite to eat. But considering the situation, I ended up ordering something completely different.
My order: Fruit Smoothie Blended Frappe
The fruit smoothie was okay at most. The menu did not show the available flavors so I asked the man taking my order what was available. He said peach, strawberry, and a few other flavors. I then ordered a peach strawberry, but I asked for there to be more peach than strawberry. He responded with he cannot do that and can only offer one fruit per smoothie. Then he hit a few buttons on the register's screen and walked away for a few seconds. When he came back he said he could make the smoothie with both fruits. It was strange.
The décor in here is a cool concept, but it needs to be redesigned. The assortment of model cars and stuffed animals gives a "teenager's room" vibe. For a café and bakery, they should be more precise with the the atmosphere inside so it does not give that clutter feel.
Based on my experience, I cannot give a recommendation for High Octane...
