The place looks very nice. Ordering was easy, and when asked if a plate could be adjusted to have "yucca frita" instead of platain, it was allowed.
I asked if a children's menu was available and was old they had one, but no one could find it or something. And when I asked if I could at least know I was told one item and just other things like that. They should have it available or put it on the wall or something for the client to see.
I got the carne with rice and yucca frita. I was not a fan of the flavor of the rice, but it was well cooked. The meat was way overcooked, but the flavor was good. The yucca frita was the best thing on the plate. That was delicious. I do wish it had just a bit more meat but the amount of yucca was amazing.
Overall, the prices for the food are very good compared to other restaurants in the area I've visited selling similar items.
The service was moatly good. One employee looked and talked like they didn't want to be there, but the rest were nice. Also, like I mentioned, they made a change on my plate, which was...
Read moreI wish I could give more than 5 stars. I discovered this gem some time last year when my local seafood restaurant closed down. Instead of ordering there fish I ordered the plantanos rellenos. OMG it was amazing, healthy and inexpensive. I am not Honduran but I love to experience different foods. My first visit I could tell they weren't used to seeing people like me there. Or that's the vibe I got. But so many visits later I feel at home chatting with the owner and either of his daughters. Today was special in that they had soursop juice. They don't have it often and I think I gave up on asking. But today the owner surprised me with a cup. I told him he made my day. They also have amazing soups on the weekend and they are huge portions. I've got my roommate hooked on them also. My week feels incomplete without a visit to my favorite Honduran spot. BTW I have also had the fish dinner which I am enjoying again tonight and it...
Read moreFirst time eating Honduran food, so I have to review this as an overall lover of a good meal. Great prices, nice reasonably clean place with friendly people and yummy, simple comfort food. As it was my first time, and I'm indecisive, I just saw what the woman in front of me was getting, and I had exactly that. Steak seasoned deliciously, cabbage, plantains and a savory creamy sauce. Hot stuff on the side. All good, filling generous portions. The people waiting on us were super nice. Smiles all around. I...
