My friends Mary Thao and Oip Thao had the worst experience ever here is there storie
My husband and I went shopping after church and we wanted a light lunch before heading to our grandson’s birthday at 3pm. We stopped into Jimmy John’s #1162 located at 2205 Stewart Avenue, Wausau WI. He ordered a BBQ Ranch Chicken sub and I ordered the Gargantuan.
When we received our subs my husband ate into his sandwich and noticed he swallowed something off. Upon examining his sandwich, this piece of paper was inside the sub. I was cutting my sandwich into three section and immediately looked through mine and found no paper.
I told him I would bring it back up to the cashier and request a refund. When I initiated to explain about my husband eating this piece of paper in his sub and asking for a refund (from whom I believe was the lead or manager), the white woman worker in this photo smirked and almost couldn’t hold back her laughter at the situation. When I finally looked right at her to clearly inspect her face she still couldn’t hold back her facial expression laughing at the matter. Twice she couldn’t stop.
I immediately said to her “so you think this is f’en laughing matter?” Her face turned serious real quick. What? You didn’t think two well respected Hmong people in this community wasn’t going to stand up for themselves and call you out? I asked her, “how would she feel if it were your parents?” She said, “I have two kids, I would’ve taken the paper out and eat the sub.” It’s like you eating my egg rolls and paper was inside of it and I told you to remove it and eat the egg roll.
My husband comes up from behind me and asks to see if she was laughing at the situation. I answered that she was. Immediately, we asked for a full refund and we left because we don’t deserve to be treated in this way.
This is the Wausau we know and it’s unfortunate that again as a Hmong person I’m laughed at and was suggested by this woman employee to take the paper out and eat it.
If you know the owner of this Jimmy John’s Franchise in town get me in touch with...
Read moreI don’t normally leave reviews unless something significant happens. While there isn’t something significant that happened in one trip to this restaurant the collective experience does leave a sour taste. It started with a platter order for a small get together I was having. I was erroneously over charged for the platter. After the mistake was noticed the remedy offered was a free sandwich coupon. Which was essentially the value I was over charged. I just thought more should have been done for charging a patron for food they didn’t receive. The second incident occurred on a delivery. Part of the order was not delivered. The driver was very apologetic and did return later and brought the forgotten items along with free sandwich coupon. Again another seemingly unimportant and not significant event. The last occasion for distaste happened when redeeming the coupons for free sandwiches. I ordered 4 total sandwiches, 2 regular and 2 slim sandwiches. I was charged for 2 regular sandwiches and given 2 slims. It just seemed irksome that my orders for regular sandwiches were over charged and undelivered and remedied with less expensive alternatives. When I tried to point it out to the manager on duty she either could not understand my plight or didn’t care. At the end of the day it is fast food and not worth getting excited about. However this establishment does have an unusually high number of mistakes and an inability to rectify situations. Your time and money will be better spent at other sandwich shops. The only reason I gave 2 stars is I still like...
Read moreSTEVENS POINT LOCATION NOT WAUSAU, I used the drive thru in stevens point location on 5/9/24, around 6pm. Order 2 subs, unfortunately not only was my order taken incorrectly it was even made incorrectly accordingto their receipt. I call in and spoketo a manager and tell him my order is incorrect and I understand, but I would like them to deliver my new ones but I am 4 mins out of your delivery zone I feel for the inconvenience it would be fair. His response I'm sorry we have some new people working and he will have to call the general manager get approval to drive .8 miles out of thier delivery zone, and was told the do not make exceptions for any reason...... well I work for a business in point that is further away than that, and when we had meetings of 5 people they will deliver out of their range for that. At that point I was already on my way to get my refund. My point here is this is a horrible manager!!!!! First thing he did was blame NEW employees which means he was not doing his job by properly, by supervising his new employees, then lied about never going out of there area, and im guessing never called his general manager. As the business my wife works for has 300 plus employees which used your company, yes used, for events she has taken your location off its list, and I know the company I work for will not be using you anymore as well. The mistake we can handle it happens often with new employees, but the lying to a customer is reason to not...
