I have ordered from multiple Fuzzy’s locations and have ordered their family meals on multiple occasions so I am aware of their quantities and quality. I live in the middle of several DFW locations but chose the Waxahachie location today because I have never had an issue and was in the area. Upon ordering I noticed their pricing was slightly higher than another location but decided to order for pickup because we would be close on the way home. My son was able to pick up the order. When we unpacked the order we were extremely shocked by the quantity but also they had completely left out the included toppings. I immediately called the shop and explained the situation. While explaining what was missing as well as the quantity for the meat and sides being extremely small for 6-8 people I was passed to another employee. She said “oh yeah I’m new and forgot to pack the toppings”. She asked if she should pack them again. I said no I would prefer a refund as we didn’t want to drive out again to pick up a part of the order for which we had already also tipped $10. She stated she would pass me to the manager because she can’t issue refunds. Once I was able to speak with I assume was the manager I asked why the quantity of meat and sides was so small considering we have ordered the family meal before and received completely different quantity not to mention at a lower price at other locations. She stated their owner recently changed both price and quantity for their family meals and that basically they could refund for the toppings completely left out. I fully understand the issues with shrinkflation and pricing but will never order from Fuzzy’s (especially this location) if this is the tactic being used. If you want to raise prices to reflect operating cost that is fine but to raise the price and subsequently also change the quantity given is ridiculous and unethical. We received a small bowl of rice that is intended for 8 people. They somehow gave two half filled containers of beans but stated only because it was too hard to fit that quantity in one container. The carnitas was in the same size container and only enough meat to fill at best 3 tacos yet received a slightly larger container of grilled chicken (which is an $5 upcharge for the meat choice not for more in quantity) We spent $75 for an amount of food that will most likely feed 4 people if lucky while also tipping $10 to hopefully get the order right for pick up which didn’t happen. Previously when ordering the same meal we paid $5 less and received double the amount of sides and the meat portions at least filled the container. While speaking to the manager their was zero concern for the order being packed wrong or a solution other than to refund for the toppings. Do not order their family meals expecting it to be of any reasonable quantity and do not expect the quantity to be the same or consistent if you have ordered a family...
Read moreOutside looks very small but when you come in you'll be surprise by the amount of room this restaurant has. Inside is a montaque of local school spirit. Like all flare restaurants it is very busy on the walls giving it a after school hang out for the kids around the neighborhood.
I go to the register and greeted by a young lady, for what I see is total ran by teenagers as a part time job. She is very kind and willing to year our order. The prices are not steep at all. They range from 3.99 to 9.99.
We ordered our food and took a seat at a table close by. The bench tables were a little uncomfortable but manageable. They were not for people with bad backs, for which you can feel every bump the person behind making. The place was surprisingly not too loud and I was able to hear everyone at my table.
The food came fast and the size of the nachos were huge. It was mostly lettuce and less on meat which was a drag for my daughter. My burrito was small but wrapped fat and my wife's tacos were typical size for street tacos.
I had brisket burrito. The meat was tender and flavorful with the veggies and cheese inside which made it a good meal just wished there were more for the price. I tried the nachos and the cheese was a little different but ok. I was too appalled by the extent of the ratio of lettuce to chicken but, the chips did take fresh and crispy.
The whole evening was great and the atmosphere was just right. I will come back another time.
The only issue I had was the meat or lake of meat on the nacho plate and the size of the burrito for the price had.
Thank you...
Read moreIn hopes of grabbing a filling, freshly made breakfast burrito to fuel the final stretch of a road trip, this Fuzzy's location left our stomachs empty and our heads full of frustration.
It took over 23 minutes to get two breakfast burritos - both which were made impressively wrong in spite of our modifications - no cheese, add beans to both, and add jalapeños on one. That's it. What'd the burritos come with? No beans, no jalapeños, yet plenty of cheese.
I could understand the mishap if the place was busy and tickets were stacking up... however this location was dead outside of a single 4 top that had already received their food.
We didn't have time to wait another 20+ minutes for them to correct the order, so we asked for a refund. Two problems here: one, we paid with a credit card and two, the cashier gave us cash as a refund. What kind of standards, or lack thereof, are in place when cash is given back to credit card purchases? Cash should only be given as a refund to cash or debit orders, never credit.
Also, the cashier could have cared less when he gave us back LESS money than we paid for the burritos, barely mustering more than an "Okay" when it was pointed out what we paid for compared to what we got.
Bar none this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a Fuzzy's Taco Shop.
And while I do not visit Waxahachie often, I can safely say that I will never visit this...
