Waynesville's Water'n Hole Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Waynesville

From out of town and looking for somewhere to eat late on a Thursday night (22:45) and not wanting to frequent the usual drab fast-food options we asked a local for a suggestion. Walking in on karaoke night to your regular downtown bar didn’t inspire us with much hope of quality food. Boy, were we wrong. Yes, your usual bar food fare, but it came out quick, fresh, hot and delicious! Burger was juicy and wings were succulent. Girls behind the bar were polite, friendly and efficient and the whole experience turned into a very pleasant surprise (even the karaoke singers were better than most I’ve heard). I have been coming here for years and it is by far the biggest concentration of genuine good people on both sides of the bar that u will find anywhere. If there Is an issue such as fight or any other trouble, it is due to the infrequent visit by "non-regular" patrons that will start something in any place they go. Fighting and drugs are not tolerated! The uninformed disgruntled patron that posted that in his review obviously has a personal issue with someone there and acting like a child is probably his reaction to any situation where he does not get his way. The food was terrible I would never eat there again. Ordered lunch there today quesadilla was supposed to have NO tomatoes or jalapeños and of course there was lots of them. Onion rings were burnt badly. Wings were supposed to have dry rub on them but there was nothing. They were black too like the oil was really old because they weren’t crispy at all. I ordered a giant taco and it wasn’t a taco it was basically a quesadilla with slimy lettuce and mushy tomatoes on it. Flavorless as well!
