Angelo's Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Webster

To start, this review is not about the quality of food or service at Angelo's. On all my previous visits, both have been very good. This is about changes that have been made, that I find very disappointing.

I'm very sorry if this sounds nitpicky, but I just wanted to voice my frustration regarding a recent visit to Angelo's.  I went there for dinner recently, and ordered the chicken alfredo.  In my opinion, it is the best alfredo I've ever had.  But one of my favorite parts about Angelo's is the tomato basil soup.  It is absolutely fantastic.  On all my previous visits, it comes with the meal.  However on my recent visit, I was told that there is now an upcharge for the soup.  I had noticed the prices had gone up on most items, including the alfredo, and this was very understandable given the current state of the economy. But raising the price on the alfredo, while also charging extra for the soup was unacceptable. I know it seems very small, but it was so disappointing that I immediately left the restaurant, quietly informing our very nice waitress as to why. Being nickel and dimed to death, while also raising prices is very unfortunate. I do hope they bring back the free soup again someday. I have enjoyed this restaurant very much, but this small incident sadly took away a lot of what I loved about Angelo's. It was always a place I could get a good meal, for a good price. But now it is simply too much money, for not enough. I do hope they bring back the free soup, and I would love to visit...

I have been going to Angelos for a couple months now. Mostly take out. I went the other day with my mom and ordered takeout again. However, I was being up charged for something. When I went in to pick up my order I asked about it. One of the hostesses rolled her eyes at me and my mom when we asked what the extra charge was for. The one that was helping us said we were being charged for rolls. I had never been charged for rolls, EVER. So I asked why they were charging me this time. She gave me an excuse but could not give me a solid answer. The owner walked by and she called him. She told him my question and he looked very annoyed and said whoever gave them to me before was breaking the rules and he walked away without a care. No apologies, no explanation, nothing. Then the girl who was helping us said hold on and walked away. We stood there for about 10-15 min and the owner came back and asked why we haven’t gotten our food. Our bag was sitting on the counter the whole time. Again he gave us our food and did not apologize for the wait and walked away. We waited a total of almost 30 minutes for 2 salads. NEVER going back again. Terrible service, terrible employees and an even worse owner who does not care about his customers. I let plenty of friends and family know about it and they will not be going...
