How this place has such a high rating I have no idea. I went at 2 PM on a Saturday. Slow time, right? I was by myself and sat at the sushi bar. My waitress came by to take my drink order and I told her I would have a water, but I would like to order wine with my Sushi. She brought my water to me, but no wine menu? Weird. OK let me request and wine menu now. At any rate, I tell her what I like in my Sushi and if she has any suggestions. I'm pretty specific about what I like and tell her I like spicy, raw, not fried and no cream cheese. She acts a little put out to help or make suggestions and immediately points to something on the menu that is fried with cream cheese. Then, she proceeds to tell me I can get it without the cream cheese. OK?! So let me try this again, tell me some of the more popular rolls so I can take a look at them and decide for myself. At this point, she rambles off the popular items so quickly I'm struggling to keep up. As I'm reviewing these items, another person comes up and asks for my drink order and I told him I'm still waiting on the wine list. The wine list reads like the bottom shelf at Kroger's. Seriously?! It is a flipping joke. I settle on the Lamerca Prosecco because I figure it's the individual bottle and it will at least be served fresh. My Sushi is handed to me. The first one is called fish zero or something of that nature. I cannot exactly remember and it is OK. Fresh, has some nice flavor, but I'm not terribly excited about it. My second one comes out and I don't remember what it's called but it has orange oil on it and all you can taste is orange oil. It was seriously like eating the peel off an orange. I may have just as well just sat there and ate an orange because I could not taste any of the fish or anything else for that matter. This place is a joke. The food was worse than grocery store Sushi and the waitress acted like she was there to fulfill court appointed community service. I...
Read moreIt was ok. Hubby and I heard great things about this place, so we decided to stop in for hibachi, but it really wasn't anything special. The service was awful. We had to keep asking for drink refills. She picked up my empty glass after having to all for a refill but left my husband's alone. We were finally able to flag her down again 15 minutes later. Other people at our table had the same issue. The couple sitting next to us wanted to order another sushi roll, but she was rushing them along and didn't give them an opportunity to ask some questions. She may have just been a little frazzled, but the service was definitely lacking regardless. And it wasn't that busy, so I'm not quite sure where the lack of customer service came in. The food was ok. I've had better. There were a few extras that were nice, but there were also some things missing. The vegetables were severely lacking, and who puts seeds in fried rice??? I don't want crunchy rice. The overall flavor of the meat was good, but the vegetables and the rice not so much. We'll probably stick with our regular place at Ichibon. This place is also much pricier, and the hibachi chef was not very entertaining. I don't know if he was new or what, but there was very little interaction and practically no entertainment. Probably not someone you would want to put at a table full of first timers. Can't say for sure that I would never go back, but it won't be...
Read moreWorst experience EVER! GENERAL MANAGER IS THE WORST PERSON! Our entire table had an issue with the cook as he was not properly trained. Our food was cold before we were able to even attempt to eat it. He cooked the eggs and rice first when there were steak orders. He scorched the eggs and still cooked chicken in my parties rice when they asked for no chicken. Oh! Do not forget the upcharge for chicken to be cooked in your rice, which I've never seen and it isn't on the menu that you'll be charged an additional $2.75 for your fried rice with chicken. I've never seen a hibachi restaurant cook chicken in the rice and then charge you extra for the rice even if you don't want the chicken. It's not even on the menu! The manager was also rude. We asked him over and over to remove certain items from our ticket because they did not prepare our food correctly and he refused. When we refused to pay, HE CALLED THE POLICE! After the police arrived, he finally agreed to take some items off my parties' ticket but not before he could get in a disrespectful comment. One person in my party frequently visits the place and she stated that as she stood there speaking to him. He responds by saying, "Yeah, you always come but you complain every time!" My jaw dropped! The audacity of this restaurant to attempt to charge us and then try to force us to pay for food we did not order...
