There was an male employee with glasses that I stop for assistance with the jewelry glass case to buy a gift. The employee told me to walk back to the glass case and he'lI call someone to assist me. I waited 10 to 15 minutes for help. The same male employee walked to the front and started talking to Amanda "CASHIER" and looking at me while I was standing waiting. Once the male employee with glasses walked away from Amanda I proceeded to walk towards Amanda and asked if she could call someone to assist me with the jewelry case. She called over the intercom and I was assisted by another elderly employee. While being assisted the same male employee hung around the front again. So I asked the male employee "why did you forget about me?" He replied with stuttering saying "I didn't know if you were ready to walk back to the glass case." This employee literally watched me by the glass case while talking to Amanda "cashier." So this employee with the glasses wasn't there to assist the public,but was there to watch instead. I hope my appearance didn't play a role in this behavior. If it did that employee needs to pick up one of those Bibles on the shelves and start reading it on lunch or break. It will teach how to love and be of service to others. Most importantly teach you to operate in the spiritual realm than the fleshly...
ย ย ย Read moreAfter not being able to buy what I set out to buy, I "googled" nearest English Christian bookstore and Mardel popped up. Well, it is further south than what I planned on traveling, but thought, "Why not?" Turned car around and headed south. Google maps got me where I wanted to go in a timely manner.
Took my usual pictures, but when I walked through the main entrance doors was overwhelmed at how big this store is! (Will have to go back and get some inside shots). The lay out is good and aisles very navigateable. Clean, clean, clean! I, however, was on a mission and didn't want to do a lot of browsing and get myself off track! (I do that sometimes ๐) I per happenstance found Bibles that were on sale for 50% off AND in the ESV version I was looking for!!! Thank you, Jesus! I loaded up my cart with some extra items, headed towards the register when my eye caught CeCe Winans "Believe For It" CD!!! Yeah!!! It landed in my cart as well.๐ I was one happy camper to be able to get what was on my list and a little something something!!!๐ Definitely will go back, but make sure I have time...

I would like to commend an employee - I didnโt get his name - when I visited the store this afternoon. I approached the register to pay, but no employee was at the register. Rather, 4 employees were standing off to the side having some sort of heated discussion about some policy.
I assumed when they saw a customer waiting, someone would break away from the discussion and come assist me. However - no one did. It took this one employee that did notice to tell his colleagues โgo help the customer.โ This employee, manager I donโt know his title should not have had to tell another employee once, much less twice, to go help a customer waiting at the register.
So 5 stars to that employee who remembered that when at work, you help the customers. 0 stars to the other employees who were more interested in resolving their dispute than...
