Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers — Restaurant in Wentzville

I think the grand opening went as you could expect. Given the circumstances, I’d say it went as well as it could have. When I first saw the layout of the drive through, and the employees taking orders with tablets, I was excited and hopeful to receive the same type of service as Chic-fil-A. However, it almost proved pointless when the employees stood under the heat lamps the entire time, and waited until you got to the actual ordering intercom to take your order. I’d also advise for the managers to go over what discounts are provided with their employees. My husband is military, and when asked if they did military discount, the employee responded with, “I don’t know” and proceeded to look around confused. She then said she didn’t believe they did. After we paid, and while waiting in line, we heard her ask a gentleman in a yellow shirt if they offered military discounts, to which he informed her they did. He told us that if we wanted refunded for the discount, it would take an extremely long time (longer than 40+ minutes we had already waited), and it would have to be done at the window. We decided to pass, and let it be a learning experience for the employee. Once we paid, it went fairly quickly. The food was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back in the future, as canes was once our favorite fast food...

I had heard the place was good. My youngest likes it so I was interested in trying it. Well, I've had better Cole slaw at any number of places. The fries are standard, run of the mill crinkle cut and the chicken? Well, let's just say I've had plenty of gas station Chesters chicken that was better. The canes sauce wasn't bad at all. The sweet tea? Now that was top notch tea. We did get our order for five people pretty quick though. I was impressed with that. Atmosphere? Well ladies, you have to use the same restrooms that some of us nasty men use. I'm not real sure why they have that setup but you essentially have three stalls in the whole place instead of the usual two or more that y'all normally have. All in all I might on occasion come back here with my daughter but I'm not impressed near enough to wander back...

I only wanted 6 chicken strips and fries so declined the "value meal" it would have been nice to know that it still would have been cheaper to have just gotten the value meal. The chicken was great but the drive-thru line was very slow. I had hoped that their efficiency would have been more like Chic-fil-A. Delicious food, but not very fast. There were about 10 cars ahead of me and it took about 25 minutes to get through the line. I won't be able to come here on lunch breaks which makes me sad. 😢 It is fantastic chicken if you can afford to...
