Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Weslaco

I visited Cold Stone today 9/01 and had an experience that left me very disappointed. While placing multiple orders, I asked the young lady assisting me to place my first order in the freezer so it wouldn’t melt while I helped my 7-year-old decide what she wanted. She refused, saying it was “for sanitary reasons,” even though she had just made the treat herself and was the only one who had handled it.

When I asked, “How do you keep your online orders cold?” she responded that they “just leave them on the counter.” I knew this wasn’t true, and the inconsistency made me feel singled out. Unfortunately, I was left with the impression that I was treated differently because I am Black.

African American families live here in Weslaco and deserve to feel welcome and respected when patronizing local businesses. We are not outsiders. It’s disheartening when something as simple as ordering a treat turns into a reminder that not all customers are...

Just the type of place I've been looking for, I've been looking for something other than the usual raspa stand. Here there are also smoothies, shakes, and ice cream cakes. You can create your own mixes by adding your choice of toppings. The business was very clean and fresh. The RR's were very clean as well..The service was there I mean obviously I got what I asked for but it definitely could have been BETTER..No smile, no greeting, no convo, no recommendations..I asked for butterpecan ice cream but I didn't know I had to add or ask for the actual pecans to be added...so once I was served the ice cream alone and realized it my only option was just to add some on the top...but that is something that I would have considered telling the customer if I was employed there, no big deal...

I came to Cold Stone for a late night ice cream, a little past 9pm. We love going to the location on Trenton since staff is very friendly and welcoming and the ice cream is also delicious. But today we decided to stop at the one on Weslaco since it was on the way home. Upon arriving, the employee named Jaire was cleaning the window doors and rolled her eyes at us as we walked in. It took a while for her to come and attend us at the counter with attitude. She appeared to be bothered the entire time and sighed heavily as we ordered. By far, one of the worst...
