Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Weslaco

Atmosphere at fast food, I usually give 1 star to everyone. Freddy's has the pictures of founder inside with the stories, so 2 stars.

I have worked in Minnesota and have had cheese curds before. I loved them. Freddy's cheese curds, even with gravy, come off as too oily. Don't you worry, I will forget I posted this and buy them again, hoping this time will be different.

The burgers and fries are great as long as you follow one rule. Do not leave the store, eat there. The wonderful thin fries taste great.

But, no matter how fresh they are when you leave the drive thru window, 4 blocks from the store, they turn ice cold and then are horrible.

The milkshakes are fantastic but are crazy expensive. I don't mind paying for quality, but the shake sizes are too small, and prices for them are just too high.

I will be back to buy a burger, fries and soda to eat there... but that...

I have not tried the food yet. My visit was just for ice cream sundaes. The ice cream sundaes were nothing like I expected. The sundaes were expensive, the cup was not even fully filled up, they did not have enough toppings in them, and they were lacking toppings in them. For example: the turtle sundae did not have any pecans. First and last time I order any ice cream. Spent over $30 worth in ice cream and it was not worth it. Hopefully my next visit to try the food will be a better experience. If not, it will be definitely be my last visit. Then one of the young ladies at the window told me “what’s up”…very unprofessional to tell that to a customer. WILL NOT BE EATING AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!! Me and my family went before closing excited to try this restaurant for the first time, and we were very disappointed! First the girl at the drive thru window cusses comfortably in front of us. Then while my mom is reordering, because they got our order completely wrong, they slam the window in my moms face only to start horsing around with other employees. There were at least 10 people staring at a monitor laughing, while there was a huge line of people waiting to be served. The staff is so rude and immature. This really does take away from the experience...
