Service was good, the waitress was friendly and helpful. The menu on their website online was apparently very outdated so I was disappointed when they no longer had the Sopa de crema poblano and a bit taken aback to see the chilaquiles flight was not in fact $15.99 and included two eggs, instead the flight was $17.99 and the two eggs had an additional cost of $2. Any other protein had an additional charge as well which that could be expected. Of the three flavors the one I was most excited for the "creamy poblano salsa" was not tasty at all. I tried to eat that one but left most of it behind on the plate because it had a weird almost fishy taste and was definitely not creamy. The other two- mole and garlic tomato were good tho! My friend also enjoyed her chorizo tacos. Overall the value for the cost paid for chilaquiles was not there as $20 for three piles of chilaquiles is quite pricey to say the least. It wasn't bad, but I probably won't go back. A note to the restaurant - it's time to update the menu on your website as it's severely outdated and can leave a bad taste in your consumers mouth both figuratively...

Overall, I'd rate it a 3.5 but I decided to round up because our waiter was very nice. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't as flavorful as I would have expected. I am guessing they are considering the demographic around and actively chose to tone the flavors down. The chilaquiles flight was much bigger than I was expecting. You can definitely share this with at least one other person. I ordered the poblano, chipotle, and mole. It all seemed to be missing more flavor because they were so muted, but ok. The steak came in small cubes and was not as cooked as I would have liked. we also ordered quesabirrillas, which the kids said were good. The chorizo tacos were okay, pretty standard, hard to mess up. They enjoyed the peanut salsa, the green habanero was ok, we enjoyed their green tomatillo one the most. But they also have a tomato and arbol one that just again didn't seem to have much flavor. The horchata and lemonade was really good. I don't think we'll be back any time soon but the prices were very reasonable and might be worth a trip...

A West Allis Gem: Our Go-To Friday Night Favorite.

If you're looking for delicious Mexican food in the heart of West Allis, look no further—this spot has quickly become our go-to for Friday night dinners with friends, and for good reason.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with quick, friendly service that makes you feel like a regular—even if it’s your first time. The staff is attentive without hovering, and everything always runs smoothly, even on busy nights.

The food is consistently fantastic. Every dish we’ve tried has been flavorful, fresh, and generously portioned. The real standout, though, is the variety of salsas and sides—they’re bold, house-made, and absolutely worth sampling all of them.

After multiple visits, we can confidently say we’ve never been disappointed. Whether you're catching up with friends or just craving something satisfying and authentic, this place hits the mark every time.

Highly recommended—and likely to become one of your...

This is my personal honest opinion, the things I disliked, others might love. Chilaquiles verdes: 2/5 tried chilaquiles many many places. I didn’t like how it was executed here. The tortillas were cut into squares and the sauce was very thick, more of a paste. I wanted my eggs over medium but they were almost over hard. The tortillas, eggs and meat were all separate and didn’t feel like one dish. The meat flavor was kind of plain. Tacos:🌮 3/5 We tried steak, pastor & and birria. Nothing special Horchata: 4/5 better than most places in Milwaukee Chips and Salsa: 3/5 The chips and salsa were good. They gave us a salsa verde and a spicy cheese sauce. Both sauces were good. Personal preference I would have preferred a pico and/or chunky salsa roja. Also the salsa verde was a little smoky and they served it warmed up. The cheese I understand. Salsa’s I like chilled.

1,000,000 out of 10!!!! This is my new favorite place. Meat was so flavorful, the habanero salsa AMAZING! Dunked my chimichangas in it and OMG 😆 my daughter had the kids steak taco…loved the lime flavored steak. My 10 month old son ate beans and rice and carnita meat he was beyond full after dinner and loved every bite he got. Grandma got tacos and they were HUGE! Grandpa got chicken mole enchiladas and they were great. This is a great place to eat, atmosphere is lovely. Waitresses are nice and gave my son lots of attention. We are so impressed and we will be spending our money here for sure. Food was too good to take a picture before we dug in.
