Iāve gone to many locations of Playa Bowls. The actual bowls are delicious.
This is my rating for the customer service. I ordered 3 bowls all with customizations, some I had to pay extra. I received all 3 without any customizations made with the defaulted recipe. I checked the receipt and my door dash order history to make sure it wasnāt a mistake I made or some computer glitch. No mistake on either.
I called the store to let them know (wasnāt even looking for a refund just wanted them to be aware) the first associate barely questioned anything and quickly said she would refund me. I checked a few days later no refund so I called again. A different associate magically pulled up my name In .0006 seconds mind you my name is spelled different and I didnāt spell it for her. She said āitās here it says it refunded on our end so you probably just have to wait longerā. Ok I waitedā¦.over a week. S
Still nothing. I call again and this time another associate tells me āwe canāt refund stuff you have to email our ownerā. This was never said to me??? And if they couldnāt refund anything to begin with why are two different associates telling me they āsee the refundā?
I email the owner calmly and attach pictures since itās been basically 2 weeks at this point. The owner doesnāt get back to me until the next day, telling me I have to call door dash and get a refund through them.
Now Iām irritated, I express my feelings of not appreciating getting the run around and asked her why no one told me to contact door dash to begin with. The owner never replied to 2nd email. At this point I donāt care about the $50 I spent on 3 WRONG aƧaĆ bowls, itās the PRINCIPAL
I was born and raised in west Chester, and live a few blocks from downtown. I was so excited to see that it opened up as ive been to other ones. This was a horrible experience with the associates and owner. As someone who also has 15 years in the service industry (food, retail, beauty) this was a huge...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis location set the standard for me when it comes to Playa Bowls. While in the area for work I got delivery from here every morning for breakfast for two weeks straight. The bowls were consistently amazing. They even had fun little drawings on top of my bowls after a certain point. I wish I had been able to personally thank the staff there. Fresh ingredients, consistently ripe mango. I could go on and on about how fantastic the quality of fruit I had was.
And your menu! Getting the locations in Philadelphia to update their 3rd party delivery apps to mirror this locations have been like pulling teeth. They're so easy to navigate and the modifications are done where I can order more than just one item. Whoever setup your account needs to work their magic on the locations here, as I've yet to receive a proper order via delivery here. Y'all have set the bar HIGH for me and it's a shame my home city hasn't been able to match my experience here.
Keep up the good work West Chester! The staff is incredibly hard working. Hopefully next time I'm in the area for work I can make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe girls got my last two orders wrong and I placed them online, where they could read the order. Disappointed at that. Then last weekend I went in and ordered 3 bowls for my family. It took them about a half hour to make them. They all came out runny and one of them was only half full. I can't stand paying $45 each time I order and these kids getting my order wrong or not up to the quality I am use to with Playa Bowls. Then the kids have the audacity to turn the register screen around and expect a tip every time. I dont want to be shook down for tips. You are charging enough for acai. Pay your employees appropriately. This place is owned by private equity afaik and not the same quality as when they first opened. My daughter is allergic to dairy and these people even put whey protein in one of her bowls before. Luckily we caught it. West Chester has a variety of acai bowl options so I think it is time for me to move on. You don't get to mess up my order on 3+ visits and expect...
