Absolutely Horrible – Unsafe, Unprofessional, and Just Plain Wrong

This place is a total disaster. Chicago School of Golf is run by someone who should not be in charge of kids, a business, or frankly, other human beings. The owner is the most unprofessional, ego-driven, and flat-out mean person I’ve ever come across in a sports setting.

He constantly talks down to staff and fires instructors not for doing a bad job — but for being better than him at golf. Imagine being so insecure you sabotage your own school because someone else is more talented. That’s the kind of toxic environment he’s created.

And the way he treats kids? It’s beyond disturbing. He makes them do weird workouts that have nothing to do with golf, yells at them, and has even made kids use a massage gun on him. That’s not just inappropriate — it’s straight-up creepy. I’ve seen children in tears because of how he spoke to them. No care, no compassion, no professionalism.

Lessons are chaotic and thrown together last-minute. Equipment is dirty and poorly maintained. There’s no structured learning — it’s just the owner barking orders or showing off while ignoring the kids. Half the time, he’s on his phone or bragging about himself instead of teaching. One time, a kid tripped and fell during a drill, and instead of helping, the owner laughed and told him to “toughen up.” What kind of coach does that?

Parents — please listen. This place is not safe, not educational, and not worth a single dollar. It’s all about power, control, and ego for the owner. He does not care about your child’s growth, confidence, or well-being. I would never, EVER send my child here again.

Gave me an undercooked chicken sandwich. I took a small bite and it tasted rubbery and chewy. Had a family member try it just to make sure I wasn’t crazy and they stated the same thing. Then Michael (VERY RUDE) in a purple shirt tried to argue with me over the phone about how it’s not possible they don’t serve undercooked chicken and then tried to discredit what I tasted. Gaslighted me and stated he checked every single one of the chicken sandwiches that are made there and that it’s no way it’s undercooked. Never offered an apology for my experience as well as was very combative over the phone, kept cutting me off. I told them I would be bringing it back. Then when I got there Michael was still arguing with me about what I said, very dismissive. I literally had to say “since I am an unhappy customer what can you do for me? I thought you guys were big on customer service??” & said he shouldn’t be giving me a refund for stating my chicken sandwich was undercooked, and that he was “above the manager”. Stated he couldn’t help me any other way. Finally after more back and forth he gave me a refund but it wasn’t fully refunded because I paid for lettuce and tomato. I didn’t even bother going back for my extra $1 I will just call corporate. Whoever the owner is needs to rethink Michael working there bc he is the WORST customer service person I have ever encountered being...

I have been going here almost every day and I must say that it is quite a good experience. Why? Because the staff here are so nice, service would most likely be quick, especially in the morning, but if the restaurant is busy, of course, there would be slow service. They are always accurate with my orders, and they followed up on a few requests I made. Everybody loves Chick-fil-a and I am one of them because there are so many things to love about this restaurant. Their chicken alone could really get me, and I definitely love their chicken the most compared to the other restaurants like them. In all seriousness, chicken, particularly my favorite, which is their chicken nuggets, is the best here because it is always fresh and it tastes really good even without the sauce. The chicken nuggets were delicious, but their sauce tasted great too, and it was just really wonderful. There are a lot of locations of Chick-fil-a and they all have the same food, but I always go, particularly to this location, because it is near and convenient for me.
