Sharpie's Pizza certainly makes a statement from the moment you walk in. The interior is heavily themed, bordering on gimmicky. Though, it's clear they've put a lot of effort into creating a unique atmosphere.

Service was excellent; our server was attentive and friendly. However, we found the restaurant's policy of not accepting phone calls or takeout orders rather perplexing. In today's market, especially in a challenging location like theirs, that seems like a missed opportunity.

The blooming onion was undeniably delicious. It was larger than expected – defintley could be split between 3-5 people – and was surprisingly spicy.

The pizzas themselves were generously sized and incredibly filling. We each managed only a few slices. I tried the pineapple goat cheese pizza, which sounded incredibly intriguing, but unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite work for me. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what was off, perhaps the sambal or the pineapple, but the combination just didn't click. The crust did have lovely crispy edges, and the cheese and crust was excellent, cooked to perfection without being burnt or underdone.

We genuinely wish them the best of luck, as they're located in a difficult spot, and hope they reconsider their phone/takeout policy for...

This place is all about the vibes. From the time you enter, until closing out your check, the ambiance is present, not to mention impeccable service.

In addition, the food at Sharpies is out of this world. As a couple, we split an appetizer and one pizza, which was just right in terms of portioning. The burnt, crispy, cheesy edges of this pizza were perfection, and left other similar pizza competitors (Jets for Detroit style and Pequods for Chicago style but with the crispy exterior) behind in the dust. The food was outstanding-no notes.

While giving 5 stars to this great new spot, I’ll add that their cocktail program could use a little bit of tightening up. While both of the drinks we got were tasty (one from the lighter citrus forward section of the menu and one from the boozier area as advertised) neither of them were balanced well. That said, Sharpies isn’t taking themselves too seriously, and the cocktails are super fun, and offered at a great price point.

Overall-loved this place, and will definitely be returning soon....

My family and I were eager to try out this new Detroit style pizza joint. The staff was very friendly, and the ambiance is cool. We started out with a couple of salads, and they were both quite tasty. It was kind of disappointing seeing all the taps but learning there was only one beer on tap, but the joint is only been open a while and I'm sure they will add more over time. We got a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza. The cheese was good, though not quite as good as Paulie Gee's. However, my pepperoni had some issues. It spent a little too much time in the oven and even with the mountain of pepperoni on it, the top layer was pretty dried out. The other issue being, even though I love pepperoni, this was just too much. In conjunction with the long oven time, that much pepperoni meant a ton of grease getting cooked out. And it being detroit-style bready crust, the crust soaked it all up. Got to be nasty. I'm sure we'll be back to try it again. Hopefully some of the other pizza options...

My partner and I went this past Saturday and overall loved Sharpie's. We will definitely be back. We started with the cheese curds and they were fantastic, melt in your mouth and second only to the cheese curds I had at the Minnesota State Fair. My only issue is they were greasy. A little paper towel under them on the tray would go a long way to soaking up the grease. The drinks were also really good. I had The Crunch-Time Continuum and my partner had their Whiskey Sour. Whatever is in their Atomic Juice is delicious. As for pizza, we probably could have split one but I got the pepperoni with hot honey and my partner got the cheese pizza, both if us added whipped ricotta. So good. I usually don't love Detroit style, but the crust here was so light and butter instead of thick and dense and their sauce is fantastic. Everyone was really friendly and the atmosphere was great. This is a very very good pizza place and I highly recommend it.
