I went to this location with Reward Points coupon from the app and was told that they do not have a scanner to scan the code, but instead of telling us that we can do it in our app and pick it up, she literally told us this and walked away from drive through window and ignored us. I've been going to this location for over 20 years and have never been treated this way. She was very rude and abrupt. Even if you are busy you can at least explain clearly to a customer because it is not the customer's obligation to know the rules and if each location has a scanner or not to scan a rewards coupon. Rewards are given to repeat customers who spend a lot of money at Popeyes and its not like it is coming out of the managers pocket to honor the rewards the company decides to reward it's loyal customers with.
She was a Hispanic heavy set manager with long hair working at apx 6:30 pm on Friday March 8th 2024. She was very rude and we couldn't even see her name because she literally turned around and walked away, and ignored us from window. We left that location and drove another 13 minutes and took our business to the location on Addison and Western. We had also ordered other items aside from the free reward item. They were so nice and accommodating there. If I could leave zero Stars I would. I am very dissatisfied at the lack of customer service by the manager at this location to explain how to order with their app properly and how they treated us and dismissed us. It’s unfortunate that I visit this establishment quite often and usually when there’s an error with food, they do their best to make it right but today was just absolutely ridiculous. I came to establishment through the drive through and clearly explained that I needed two separate orders. One for myself and the other for my brother (my brother doesn’t have a car and so he came with me on this trip). The lady took both separate orders, repeated the order, and asked me to proceed forward. When I came to the window, the cashier repeated the order “10 piece with fries” I said yes and gave my payment. He passed me the bag and I waited for the second order and he just stared at me. I explained that I had given two different orders in English. When the cashier spoke with the lady taking orders, she looked at me as if she didn’t know what I was saying and started speaking in Spanish. I respectfully addressed both of them in clear Spanish and asked what was the purpose of repeating my order if it did not go through the system the first time. They apologized for the error and proceeded with allowing me to order my brothers food this time. Once I did, I received the bag and left it as is. When I arrived, the restaurant claimed they never got my order, even though I had an email confirmation. The manager refused to help me in any way and instead just gave me a random “Uber number” that wasn’t even customer service. I left with no food, no refund, and no real help. In this economy, $25 is a lot of money to lose, and my family went without dinner because of this. Completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. What made this situation even worse was the way I was treated. The manager on duty refused to assist me in resolving the issue and instead handed me a phone number I left the restaurant without food, out of my money, and with my family disappointed and hungry.
This experience was extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and unacceptable—especially given the financial impact of losing $25 in today’s economy.
