Sushi Pink in the West Loop is an absolute hidden gem that deserves every bit of recognition. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a stunning atmosphere—modern, clean, and stylish with just the right amount of intimacy. The vibe was perfect for a relaxing evening in downtown Chicago, whether you’re out with friends or on a date night.
The food was nothing short of phenomenal. Each dish arrived beautifully plated, like edible artwork. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and full of creative touches that made every bite feel like something new. I tried a mix of classic rolls and signature creations, and I was honestly impressed by how thoughtfully everything was crafted. You can tell the chefs really care about both taste and presentation.
One of the best parts of the night was the service. Our host, Shifa, was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the different types of sushi, ingredients, and flavors. There were a few items I wasn’t familiar with, and he made me feel completely comfortable while guiding me through the options. His insight added a personal and educational touch that elevated the whole experience.
The overall ambiance of Sushi Pink is top-tier. The lighting, the music, and the modern decor blend beautifully to create a relaxed, upscale environment. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into designing a space that feels both trendy and welcoming. It was easy to settle in and fully enjoy the evening.
One major bonus: the location is super accessible. There’s parking right in front of the restaurant, which is rare for the downtown area, and there’s also a nearby garage if street parking fills up. That convenience made the visit even more enjoyable—no stress, just great food and great vibes.
In short, Sushi Pink absolutely delivered. From the warm service to the incredible sushi and unforgettable ambiance, every element came together seamlessly. This is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to, and one I’ll be recommending to anyone looking for top-notch...
Read moreI walked past this place and noticed the sign that had a beautiful ramen bowl on it and realized this might be the perfect restaurant for when my boyfriend and I are arguing over should we have sushi or ramen tonight. So the next time the debate popped up, I suggested the place, we went... and I wholly regretted it. The atmosphere is nice enough, although the old american pop-ie music is a little off putting it wasn't too loud when we sat outside and could ignore it, the server was nice and bubbly, my cocktail was perfect and the food was presented beautifully, but none of that can make up for the taste. My bf eats just about anything, so he finished off his sushi although he did say he wasn't interested in coming back after just the first bite. I couldn't even eat the ramen though, it looked so pretty but tasted like something a college student would make out of an instant noodle package, with corn and half of a hard boiled egg tossed in just 'cause. The 'meat' was just a slice of fat and gristle, the broth had no body or flavor to stick to the noodle, I'm going to mention again the egg was hard boiled and somehow grainy, and WHY is there corn in it? We ordered two roles of sushi, one bowl of ramen, one fruit smoothie and one cocktail, and the meal was 59$ I took not four bites out of the ramen before I returned it and they still charged me for it, only discounting it to half when I complained about it. I wouldn't pay 3$ to eat that ramen, much less the 13 they charge for it! Even the blueberry smoothie was bland, I don't know how you can mess up blueberry but these...

We had a potluck where everyone brought food from their favorite restaurant, and I was in charge of bringing Asian cuisine—so, of course, I got sushi from Sushi Pink! I’ve been coming here for years, and they’ve been in business for over a decade now. I even know the staff pretty well, which says a lot about how much I love this place.
What I appreciate most is their consistency—every time, the sushi is fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Ordering on their website is super convenient, and the 15% off deal is a great bonus (not sure how long that’ll last, considering how affordable their food already is).
I personally love a mix of raw and cooked sushi, so I got two Red Rose rolls (spicy tuna inside), an Angel Hair roll (chef’s specialty with cooked shrimp), Tuna Nigiri, and Spicy Yellowtail. Their house sauce—a mix of soy sauce and spicy mayo—just hits differently. It’s honestly better than what I’ve had at other sushi spots in Chicago.
I am loyal to Sushi Pink and I’ll keep coming back...
