Tommy's Grill — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

The service was bad, the lady that took my order asked me my order then put it in and brought me my food and I never saw her again. She was to busy talking to other customers. When I ordered my food I got the pancake special which said that hash browns or grits were included. So I told her I'd get the hash browns. The pancakes and the sausage were the only things really good, the eggs were ok and the hash browns and bacon were terrible. Then I went to pay and my bill is $2 more I ask why and she says the hash browns were extra. I asked why considering the menu said that they were included. And she refuses to take it off my bill. I think that if your menu is not correct you should fix it or tell the person that it's not included. I will never go back again I'd rather go to McDonald's than here again. Terrible food ...

The staff at this restaurant is very unprofessional. They cheat the elderly out their money, due to there is a mental health facility down the street. They talk to the customer with so much disrespect. A 70 year old man came into the restaurant And asked for a brisk ice tea, the worker gave him HOT when he asked for ICED tea. The customer asked for A exchange or a refund the worker told him “NO” because she can’t resell the tea to anyone else And she’ll be losing out on money. I would never eat from this restaurant again. Simple American fare. I've been several times, with a different crew each time. Not a one has been disappointed. Only suggestion would be to ask for the catfish fried hard. Eggs are always perfect as ordered (I'm picky). Good breakfast and lunch stuff. Not the biggest place. The staff, service, and no frills diner eats have won a place in my heart. With so many places charging half a paycheck for ridiculously complicated versions of eggs Benedict, I couldn't be happier to find a local greasy spoon to meet my needs.
