Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in West Covina

I’ve been coming to this location for the last year and during the day I’m used to getting good service with a nice cashier. I thought tonight I’d try something different and have ono but with how rude and the attitude of the cashier tonight 1/5/25 at 630pm isn’t worth it. The second I got to the register she had a bad attitude and a face that looked like she hated her job. I thought maybe if I smiled and made the effort to be nice and cordial she’d change her mood but nope at the end I asked for teriyaki sauce but she said it was only for online orders and that I can get soy sauce myself around the corner as she rolled her eyes for the 3rd time and scoffed. I've always loved coming to this location normally theyre food portions are great ive been coming here for a couple years and never had issues but Lately it hasn't been today I got a plate of bbq mix and the portions were unbeleively small and just sad.The food was not hot at all when I got it meat was just old you could tell it was sitting there in a warmer just for a long time and the bbq beef was burned so I couldn't even eat it. The scoop of rice and macaroni salad were the smallest i have ever seen before. I paid for extra ribs thank goodness I did the plate alone was nothing for how much I paid. I was disappointed with the service at Ono. Ive had other Hawaiian locations but first time at West Co. It wasn’t that busy but service was slow. Of course the standard “help wanted” sign was on the door which told you as with many other food places, service is slow. It took exactly 19 minutes to get my food. Not necessarily la k of employees but lack of effort. We know employees are not performing brain surgery but as consumers, we just want our food hot and fairly quickly. If we see that employees are jumping and trying to make it happen, we understand and will wait. What we don’t like is your butt leaning and employees looking at their phone.
