This place is atrocious. Avoid at all costs.
Should have known when we walked in the door mid happy hour and there was one person sitting at the bar.
The waitress seemed scattered, and like a new server. She was hand gesturing to another table while she was trying to take our order. Incompetent service . She also left in the middle of taking our order to go get a silverware. We hadn't even placed a food order yet, let alone have food to use The silverware with.
We each ordered a beer and both came out warm. Not room temperature warm but as if the beer had been sitting in a tap line for 24 hours. The place probably needs a glycol top system. Doubt they'll be around long enough to install one though.
We both ordered the prime rib special. The server wasn't even sure that they had a prime rib special, and had to go ask somebody. Then when she came back she said everybody was asking about it. Wouldn't you already know that to special is for Friday night? She then proceeded to ask how we wanted it cooked. Typically prime rib is cooked one way. Again probably just an inexperienced server, but her lack of knowledge is a reflection of management. Or rather management inadequacies .
What arrived, the prime rib special, was appalling. First, considering how few people were in the bar and restaurant, we waited entirely too long for a special. The meat definitely was not prime rib. I'm not sure what it was, possibly some bargain cut of meat, but not prime rib. The meat, the potatoes, and the broccoli were room temperature. Room. Temperature. Are you trying to kill me? The entire service was so cold that the little cup of gravy had gelled over.
1 bite each and we were done. When the, I guess manager, came and asked how the meal was as she scurried table to table, she seemed to taken aback when we said our meal was cold. She offered to heat it up or get us something else. At this point there's no coming back. First impressions last and you dropped the ball. I said we would take our business somewhere else, and asked for the check for the warm beers which we were less than half drunk.
If you are on the fence about this restaurant, just look at their replies to other patrons on this forum, and note the email address they would like you to reply to. Their lack of professionalism, food quality, cleanliness, and friendliness all reflects in there non-professional...
Read moreI used to come here all the time to bring dates introducing them to their Tacos. They were exquisite [pricey side]. Now, my nephews recent graduation, I wanted to introduce him to their tacos and maybe carry that torch. Unfortunately, we were informed that they restructured their menu and tacos are no longer available. It was a hot day out; so we decided to avoid the drive to Lawrenceville to Corandos Tacos. We ordered items they had available. My nephew said his burger was dry and no seasoning, but fries were decent. While I ordered a chicken quesadilla. No garnish, just unappealing presentation of food item and two cups [sour creme and tomato]. No lettuce, jalepeno or other toppings. I requested for them but was told they do not have any lettuce or jalapeño to put on. Again, bummed.
I bit into the quesadilla and gotta say, even Taco Bell had more chicken on theirs at far lesser price then this flapjack thing. I was more upset then bummed at this point. Having no tacos available after a week of upselling my nephew about how amazing their tacos were and not being able to order them. But now, here are these very disappointing meals. We didn't finish ither of the plates. To top off the lack of chicken, lack of toppings, and plane presentation. The cheese used was as greasy as any fast food location which upset my stomach while the beer I ordered was on the warmer side.
I called the waitress over and asked for the check. She asked if we wanted a to-go plate but both declined. She seen something was wrong and inquired. I politely said it was not at all enjoyable, I just want to pay and we will go to another restaurant. She called the manager over who provided a discount. It was unexpected, but Appreciated.
I would have given a one star review. But, the staff was super polite, manager appeared to understand customer service. The failure appears to be on the inferior ingredients and poorly experienced kitchen staff.
I'm extremely disappointed on their huge shifting of food items. Appears they now just serve what every other bar has but not as good and for...
Read moreIt's no wonder they're dying. Worst events coordinator ever. She is appropriately named Karen. First she never explained CLEARLY how they worked. For any event THEY deem large like around 30 people they will charge you a minimum of 800 plus gratuity of 18% and service fee 4%. She then asked me to call her if I wanted help. So I call her. She answers...I hear noise, then she hangs up. I call back this time no answer...call back again no answer, but I leave a message and asked her to call me back. Then I get an email answer 2 days later not much insight or clarification. She said she was in a meeting that's why she didn't pick up. Doubtful, why the heck didn't she call me back then, ever? She said nothing will be booked until I sign the contract and pay a down payment. She sends me this ridiculous contract for an exorbitant amount of money for appetizers, I asked her why everything was up-charged to a qty of 4 in email. No answer. So frustrating, I call the manager at the restaurant and she was soooooo nice and said we can do a la carte if we wanted. She said it's unlike Karen to be unhelpful and she will have her work on this. So Karen FINALLY calls me but was so confrontational and didn't budge at all. EVEN if we went with less people showing up and less rooms she said the price is the same. She said we can't go a la carte because she had to protect the experience of other patrons. WHAT patrons? So because I bring them business with more people we have to pay for it with our experience? Limiting our food choices? If they naturally had that many patrons they would have to deal with it anyway but they want to make it easier for them and up-charge. BTW their karaoke room mic ALWAYS fails and the speakers sound horrible too. Edit: I understand not wanting to flood the kitchen staff...but she knew this was a drinking heavy crowd and not an eating heavy crowd. They would have easily made more than 1k in drinks. My family owned restaurants in...
