Erica Sipos is our Unicorn!! We have recently completed a dining room renovation and could not start to express our gratitude with partnering with Erica and the quality of products that arrived at our home.
Our process started over a year ago after we moved into our first house. We visit the local EA store but ended up on the website looking for some additional information and that is when Erica offered her time and services and the rest has been perfect. Even though she works out of a store 4 hours away I felt like we had a live in, always accessible design consultant. We were so happy with our first conversation and purchase that we detoured off a planned trip for a face to face meeting and of course no disappointment. Erica stayed 2 hours past the time she was suppose to leave to help get us started down the path of selecting the next pieces to finish off our dining room retreat. She pulled samples of things we thought we liked and offered samples of things she new would end up working. Not once were we ever pressured to make a purchase or a decision we were not completely comfortable with. Not only did she send us samples of everything we requested she would send us mock up pictures of anything we wanted to see before purchasing. During the above process Erica was always sure to drop us a line every couple months just to check in.
Our blinds were the first to arrive and they didn't quite fit perfectly. Erica arranged return and replacement and they fit perfectly. Our table and chairs were next to arrive, and even though they were 6 weeks early, EA had no issue storing for us while we finished our projects. Delivery day was like Christmas. The delivery crew, father and son, were incredible. 20 mins start to finish. They set up our table, check the extensions, went over all the chairs and took away all the packaging. We were left with what feel like a tree of a table, Corin table in Loft, 6 great Cyra chairs and two incredible Thomas host chairs, all in perfect condition. If Erica would babysit our toddlers too we would be able to enjoy more than a bedtime board game!! ;)
Truly an incredible experience from start to finish. Thank you to Erica and Ethan Allen for our...

We loved our Avery chair from Ethan Allen but it had seen better days and needed to be replaced. Since the closest EA store was about 2 hours away and it was winter time, we weren’t looking forward to a long drive there and back so I contacted the store and was put in touch with a designer, Karen. I didn’t need to test the chair since we had one before and knew how comfortable it was, so I sent her a picture of the old Avery chair and another EA chair we had in the room so she could see the colors and style of the other furniture. She emailed pics of four fabrics and I chose one. I was in luck because there was a sale going on, which helped a lot with the price. I ordered the chair and was told it should take about 6 weeks. Karen kept me updated and notified me when the chair was in the warehouse.
It was ready for delivery on Valentine’s Day and I scheduled it. In the meantime, my husband got worried about the weather and how the delivery people would navigate our snowy/icy lawn to get the chair in through the back door — the widest door —- which led directly to the room where the chair was supposed to go. We also had to get the old chair down to the basement— not an easy task with our other narrow doorways and inquired about help with those issues. Karen talked to scheduler who called us to allay our fears about the delivery and mentioned to the delivery guys about moving the old chair— not their usual job.
The two delivery guys were fabulous! Juan Carlos and Marlon navigated the new chair expertly into the room, over our snowy/icy lawn, and moved the old one to our basement. They were appreciative of the tip and my husband and I were so pleased with the extra service they provided. They said they didn’t mind doing this for people who treated them nicely.
We are very happy with chair and know we’ll enjoy it for a long time!...
Read moreThey delivered a damaged sofa to my home that cost me thousands of dollars and offered me a $200 credit. The worst part about it is they tried to cover it up with some furniture glue and pawn it off as fine. For the kind of money you pay for their “quality” furniture, they should have rerun the sofa. They are clearly dishonest brokers who do not care about their customers.
In response to the post by Ethan Allen, you are correct in stating that two options were offered. One was the $200 credit and the other was for repair of the covered up damage to the sofa. I chose the credit because that half of the sofa should have been rerun not repaired. I was furnished with something that was damaged and worst of all covered up by the factory or your delivery company.
After your response, I now know why you gave me such a small credit on the sofa. This is doubly insulting to me (first insult was the coverup of the damage with wood glue). The credit should not be based on the size of the damage, but it should be offered as if you purchased damaged goods from a clearance section or an outlet store period. If you were to sell damaged goods in a clearance section would you sell them with that small of a discount? The answer is no. I didn’t purchase my furniture from Gabe’s. I guess I might as well have done that. And since we are having a measuring contest. The damage was a half an inch in what would be a visible part of the sofa if it was placed in a larger room with the back exposed.
By the way, for those of you reading this review. I’ve had excellent treatment at the Restoration Hardware in Ross Park Mall as well as the Crate and Barrel there where I have purchased my other furnishings. I just want you to be aware of my experience. Happy...
