Ok...started out not good. I work in service industry. I pulled in, and noticed 🚗 through was backed up outside the entrance boundary of the drive through about 5 or 6 cars so it was busy busy. I understand this. I parked, and walked in. There was only one lady and her daughter their waiting. She was acting very bothered like had been there forever. I got a little worried, but I promised myself I was getting my mom this freaking 🎃 blizzard that everyone is talking about because she loves 🎃. She is about to undergo surgery so want her happy 😊. Anyway I ask if she had been helped, and she said yes. I stood at the counter for the next, oh I would say 8 minutes with not one hello or one moment. I'm in the industry 🙂. I could see that the 3 young men were crazy busy running back and forth making things. I just think acknowledging people is huge, mostly when they take the time to walk in and be face to face with you. Anyway this ladies order comes up, and she pulls out her receipt because there was a discrepancy. There had to be 50 things on that receipt. At that point I would understand why her order would take well over 30min when your that busy. I dont really know how long it was. Anyway once she was helped. Owen came over, and asked if I had been helped yet. I said no, and he took my order. Very friendly. I had my 3 blizzards, and out the door within 3 minutes. He was a perfect example of turning my horrible review into 5 stars. Also it was how he handled the lady with her discrepancy that I watched. DQ lucky to have him, and prob has saved a few people the same thoughts of your company on these crazy busy times. It was around 8pm 10-14-20. He should get a little bonus check 😉 for doing something like this. Read my other reviews, and a lot of companies do not have someone that turned my bad...
Read moreSo I never do this, but this was so bad I have to. Rarely do we spend 35 30 to 40 bucks for fast food but we wanted Blizzard so we went to dairy Queen. This place as a huge marquee that says new ownership, good sign right, wrong. After standing in line forever and I get it they were busy we started really looking around and noticed how absolutely filthy this place is. And I don't mean a mess customers made this is stuff employees made. I'll include the pictures. We are selves run a restaurant and there's a level because you are taking the health of other people in your hands. From the line to the lobby was filthy. Even THE SINK, THE HAND WASHING SINK, was filthy. We were about to go up and just cancel our order and ask for our money back but as we approach the counter our food was getting bagged up to handle us and we didn't want to make a scene or yell at some kids who it's not their fault. So we ate the blizzards and wasted the rest of the food cuz you would have to. If you want to waste 35 to 40 bucks on a couple burgers some cheese curds and some ice cream treats this is the place for you. If you don't want to waste your food and I mean literally not even eat it , I would definitely go to a different Dairy Queen. Please feel free to zoom in on that hand washing sink, 😱.
So it's been over a week and I honestly thought the owner would get in touch or at least dairy Queen. But evidently reviews like this must be the norm or they just don't care. I don't understand how your business could look like this and get caught out and called out on the internet and you do nothing about it. I practice what I preach, I'm not blaming the young kids that work there at all. This is all about management and obviously we can see how much that under new management sign really matters....
Read moreI went here tonight (july 21st, 2023) and I was severely disappointed. I was also told they have been under new ownership and management the last two days but I’m not sure about that.
The dipped cones and sundaes were melting so fast the moment they handed them to us on the counter. The entire store itself was warm, it didn’t feel like there’s an AC unit going at all.
The entire ice cream make line was disgusting and covered in different toppings all over the place. We were the only customers there ENTIRELY.
Everyone on shift acted like they could care less about customers. I stood at the counter for five minutes while two different girls walked past me and it took a boy coming up and asking what I needed, when I said just an extra spoon, he turned to the girl wearing the Tupac shirt and started arguing with her about “proving a point” and they kept arguing from there.
Trying to find a clean spot in the lobby was a joke. Again we were the only ones there and only TWO tables were “cleaned” there were dirty blizzard cups, food and ice cream all over the table tops.
Then to top off the bad experience, my toddlers had to use the restroom, and it smelled of urine and had obviously not been cleaned in quite a few days.
I’m still new to the West Jordan area, and wanted to treat my littles, but I do NOT recommend going to this location unless your idea of food and customer service is low.
I work in the food industry myself, I’m sorry for the novel, but this is not okay. It is a health issue, and with some of the other reviews I’m not surprised if they haven’t been contacted already.
if corporate were to walk in and allow the conditions of that store and allow the employees to leave a bad taste and image of their company I will definitely not be returning...
