Wow, what a disappointment. Went totally out of my way to go here as I’m from Boston originally and love Dunks! First of all, there are like 20 people working at a time. Way too much staff. The manager was running around barking orders at people like a total jerk. He needs to be fired. Seriously. With that many people it’s impossible to delegate anything. Everyone just kinda stands around trying to look busy so this monster of a manager doesn’t bark at them. I ordered 3 things. It seems as though 5 different people were all handling my order. I got one coffee from one woman then my second from a different person then my third item just never came. Finally someone asked what I was waiting for and I told them and they got it for me but… a way easier way would be if each order is handled by one person. Too many hands involved getting my order ready so nobody realized they missed something. They just assumed someone else got it. The order screen is totally useless… they don’t even use it. There were a few other customers and I didn’t see anyone’s name appear on the “in progress” or “ready for pickup” screens. Have one maybe two people work on an order at a time, use the technology provided for you and I feel things would go so much smoother.
I can’t imagine this place is profitable. How could it be? I don’t think this place will be open for much longer unless they embrace some serious changes. First should be limiting staff to 2-3 people manning the drive through. One person taking orders, one person making coffee and one person cooking food. The food cooker can help make coffee if no food is ordered. Then 2 people up front. One person taking all the orders. The second person making all the coffees and the food being made by the same person making the food for the drive through. The manager on staff should be helping with anything else the staff may need. Helping with coffee or food, covering breaks.. not hovering over everyone making sure everyone is on edge.
When we finally got all of our order the coffee was SO bad. I’ve never had a worse coffee. I got a peppermint mocha. It tasted like watered down coffee with a hint of chocolate. No peppermint taste at all. I asked for oat milk and got regular milk. I know why this happened to. I watched as one of the workers flew a mile a minute trying to make my coffee as quickly as possible. She was clearly going as such a break neck speed because her manager was hovering over her to the point it was unreasonable to expect her to read the order properly. They seem to value speed over accuracy. It’s just a total shame.
Even if they see this review I highly doubt they will take the suggestions I’ve made seriously. I’ve been a food service manager for years at one of the highest grossing stores in our company. This is the worst managed place I think I’ve ever seen. I’m sure they will make excuses as to why me and all the others who have had similar experiences are just “haters” or whatever… but I seriously hope they will take some advice because I want nothing more than this place to succeed. When they closed all the dunks in Utah my family and I were devastated! When this place opened we were so excited… I want more dunks to pop up in my area and if this place is a test run then we’re in big trouble. Please, please fix this. PLEASE!!
Edit: just wanted to add that the customer before me picked up her drink and it was made wrong. She told the woman who made it and the woman grabbed it out of her hand, rolled her eyes, dumped it out and asked “what did you want?” In a very nasty way. The customer was shocked as was I. She told her and she made it then the customer stood there for a minute till finally having to ask “I’m waiting for 3 more coffees” the employee had NO clue what was going on, she clearly didn’t look at the screen so she had the customer tell her what her order was then she made it. It was...
Read moreThis is the worst dunkin location I've ever had. And I lived in the New England area most of my life so I would know. I moved to Utah (love the mountains) about two years ago, so I was very excited when I heard they were going to finally open a Dunkin I can have access to whenever (like no joke I've been having a hankering for Dunkin, both their coffee and food, and considered finding a way to make friends with anyone from the AFB just to get access to that Dunkin). But this new location turned out to be a mega disappointment from the first time I had it, and I gave it a fair amount of tries since because I figured maybe they were still getting their grounding from newly opening (plus like I said I'm New Englander so I had to get my Dunkin fix from somewhere), but time and time again that I've tried it just didn't go well one way or another. By that I mean they would either get part of my order (or sometimes the entire order) completely wrong, or the items were just not good. To give detail: Had to go back through the drive thru mutliple times due to getting incorrect items (like getting a plain bagel when I asked for an everything) or just missing items Asked for a frozen French vanilla coffee and it was almost melted and tasted horrible The chocolate/strawberry frosted donuts are cheaply and poorly frosted like child did it or the machine needs to be recalibrated Ordered k-cups, but was given the ground coffee bag without notice Put a pack of cream cheese on the side (and was not even given a spreading knife) when they're supposed to put it on my bagel since one is usually on-the-go when getting food from a drive thru (unless this has changed) Received extremely stale or hard bagels more often than not
Long story short, I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could please make an effort to make this Dunkin location significantly improve, or at least be consistent with the quality of the better locations in the...
Read moreI love Dunkin Doughnuts and was really sad when they left a few years ago. I have been to this location 4x since they opened and everytime they have gotten my order wrong. The first 3x I went through the drive through. The last I went inside to hopefully get the order correct. The first time I ordered a large Iced Black tea sweetened, a large iced Green tea unsweetened and a dozen doughnuts. They gave me two black teas unsweetened. Had them give me a green tea and they sweetened it. Had to have them make it again. It was super busy so I chopped it up to that. Doughnuts were so yummy!! The second time I ordered a large iced sweetened black tea and a lemon doughnut. They gave me an unsweetened green tea, and the wrong doughnut. The third time I ordered a large iced black tea sweetened and a lemon doughnut and they gave me a unsweetened black tea. The 4th time they I ordered a large iced black tea sweetened (the girl asked me how I wanted it sweetened and a bunch of other questions) a large unsweetened green tea, and 2 blueberry and 2 Lemon doughnuts. They gave me an unsweetened black tea, an iced coffee and 2 of the wrong doughnuts.
I cannot understand why they keep getting the order wrong? I don't think my orders are that difficult. I like my tea sweetened or unsweetened so when I get it unsweetened its no big deal. Its annoying that there has been something wrong each time. I have gone to a lot of Dunkins everywhere and this is the only location that manages to get my orders wrong every single time.
Like I said I will keep coming but highly recommend that you taste/check order before you...
