I had the unfortunate experience of visiting the In-N-Out location at 7800 S and Campus View Drive in West Jordan, Utah, and it was nothing short of a disaster.
I placed my order, #92, which included a burger, three fries, three shakes (chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry), and two regular fountain drinks. Little did I know that this order would become a 15-minute ordeal.
During that time, I watched in disbelief as 17 orders were processed, with mine seemingly forgotten. My food sat in bags for a whopping 12 minutes, and despite asking three times for an update on order #92, I was repeatedly told they were waiting for shakes. To add insult to injury, 15 orders were processed after mine was bagged, and my strawberry shake sat on the counter for a full 10 minutes before it was finally added to my "full order."
I finally decided to inquire further when order #5 was picked up, and I asked why my order had taken so long. Instead of a reasonable response, the employee, Cassie, angrily yelled at me and claimed it wasn't her problem, all while admitting she had been on another station. Customer service at its finest, right?
Frustrated but still calm, I sought the manager, Gabby. It took a while for her to show up, as she was "busily" working the grill, but when she finally did, I was met with an unhelpful and condescending attitude. I politely requested my food be remade due to the excessive wait, but all I received from Gabby were empty responses and dismissive "uhh huhs." When I inquired directly about remaking my food, she actually laughed in my face.
In the end, I paid $27 for order #92, only to receive cold and soggy fries, a lukewarm burger with wilted lettuce, and a melted strawberry shake. Not to mention, I received a lesson in how some locations never change.
Save your time, money, and energy by avoiding this location like the plague. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here, and you deserve better.

Read moreAlways a great meal at this place and always a great experience in customer service. Rating any restaurant like this I believe merits first listing my praise of the individual employees that made the experience what it was, five stars: Quite a line was building as we entered and quickly an extra employee jumped to a register to help the next guest. I happened to be his third order of the rapidly growing lunch line and he was both personable and efficient. I am a strong believer that slow is smooth and smooth is fast and that it pays off a ton; Daniel Re didn't rush me or seemed stressed or hurried at all, he treated me like I was both his first/only/last customer and even had a genuine smile on his face the whole time. He repeated my order back to me clearly and without rushing either and then even called out parts of my "secret menu" custom order to his colleagues even though it was clearly printed as what I asked for on the receipt. To really blow me away he even had a individualized compliment for me loaded in his six-star service repeater. He also met me at the counter as my order was called to make sure everything looked how I had specified. He and the whole amazing crew at this location are definitely a testament to the whole company and that's coming from a guy that's been eating the same customized #1 order for 16+ years, that's pre Utah days. West coast is the best coast, a double double animal style with fries, spread and the delightful neapolitan shake here tastes just as amazing as the first time I had it in sunny California. I honestly can't believe that I haven't reviewed this location before because this wasn't a new experience here. Nor was it different then any order I have placed at the drive through. I mean, this location got my wife through two pregnancies now, we eat here a lot. This location is amazingly staffed and managed! I always get friendly greetings, service, thanks...
Read moreIn-n-out burger has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I used to go with my family anytime we visited California or Las Vegas until they built a bunch here in the Salt Lake Valley, which was and is awesome! The drive-through line can get massive! Especially at nighttime on busy days.
Also, they have great hours and I hear they pay way better than any other fast-food joint around here.
One gripe I have is that they only have ONE SIZE for their fries! And that size doesn't give you very many (and I typically NEVER order fast food fries, except at In-N-Out and Five Guys). They need to offer a larger size instead of having customers pay way more if they want more fries because they have to order multiple orders of fries to get more instead of a less expensive choice to upgrade the fry size or choose a larger portion at the get-go, which is always less expensive.
They are amazing at what they do, but I really would like to see them add a few new items to the menu. It's very simple and with very little variety and the special stuff like Animal style (there are other secret orders, but Animal style is one of the best known) are not posted. ALL OF THE "SECRET" ORDER VARIATIONS SHOULD BE POSTED! That way everyone can try them and enjoy them because currently if you don't already know about them, then you...
