Had a late lunch at Bonchon, and it was great! When we told the person at the counter we hadn't been there before, they walked us through food options at the kiosk. My wife and I ordered soy garlic pork potstickers, japchae with fried egg, and a small mixed fried chicken (wings and drumsticks), and sides of steamed rice and pickled radish. Which we shared. I don't know how we would have eaten a larger order of chicken. The potstickers were delicious, with a slightly crispy texture, and lots of sauce on them. The japchae was a great tasting mix of vegetables, and adding the fried egg was perfect. We had 2 different sauces on the chicken, Korean BBQ, and Yangnyeom. They were incredibly crispy and crunchy! And the two flavors were excellent, with the yangnyeom being slightly spicier. The pickled radish was a perfect side with the chicken to balance out the heat of the sauce. So good! Definitely worth it! But next time, I need to try the kimchi...
Read moreI was not very pleased with this place. First issue we had was every time we asked for something on our order they looked at us like we were speaking a different language causing us to repeat ourselves more than once. Then I asked them for the donuts about 3 times, which they never put on my order. I had thought they were on my order because it cost and an and a leg just for what we did get! My uncle got the chicken sandwich which was dry, sauce less, and lacked flavor. I ordered the pork belly bao, not only was it overly spicy, salty, and just not worth it. I had also ordered the soy garlic boneless chicken not only was it soooo salty (even for a sodium deficient girly) it tasted like ramen noodles, and not in a good way 🤢
I am beyond nauseated after eating there and will not be returning. Hell, we could have gotten better food at McDonalds and that is sad to say! I’d seriously give it a 2/10....

Serving sizes are so small.
$8.99 for the 8 piece boneless chicken and the pieces were no bigger than an inch. Looked and tasted like frozen nuggets.
Fries were tasty but again, small serving for the price.
Mopo corn dog was mostly breading and the potatoes were so crisp they were almost burned.
Korean donut has just the right crisp to it. Dripping sauce looks and tastes like sweetened condensed milk.
Everything was placed in paper sacks so of course the oil soaked through the bags really fast which made them messy to touch.
I used the kiosk to place my order so the most the person at the counter did, was hand me the sack.
If you are in SLC and want Korean fried chicken, go to chick queen. Worth the drive...
