JCPenney — Local services in Wheeling

I wasn't a frequent shopper here but I seen an ad so I downloaded the app and was excited to see the things I wanted in stock at this store. I went and made a few purchases(at different times) and always experienced great customer service. I ended up having to return something I bought for myself & a gift I purchased. The older woman at the jewelry counter was extremely rude when I went to return. I had 1 receipt but not the 1 for the gift (I don't normally keep them for gifts). Anyways I wanted to exchange the items for something she liked but the jewelry clerk was so short with me and had a horrible attitude that she put the return on a card. eye exam part a 4/5 rating The ordering and recieving my glasses is for sure a 2/5 the eye exam:if you have never been here for one you think it would be in the store where you choose your glasses not on the side of the building. The one person who took care of ordering my glasses was a bit rude from the start,the process was simple pick what you want order and they are supposed to call when they come (about 2 weeks), I spent alll week calling to get an update no answer, saturday comes around and I call the 1800 number on website which was very helpful, my glasses sat there for 3 days, pick up day same lady was upset I called 1800 # and a bit unprofessional…. My husband and I were here on Black Friday. It was amazing watching the store manager Frank, I believe, take care of customers AND staff. We watched him run a giveaway in the back of the store and 5 minutes later he was checking on his 8-10 cashiers to make sure they had gotten their breaks along the front. We found what we needed and a few things we didn’t, but we’re just as happy to spend the extra money where a store is being managed so well.
