Last evening, we visited P.F. Chang’s to celebrate our uncle’s 75th birthday. We were a group of five adults and two children. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted, and our table, perfectly arranged for seven, was ready right on time.
As we entered the restaurant, we were immediately struck by the two huge golden horse statues flanking the entrance. These statues were truly impressive and set the tone for a grand and memorable dining experience.
Our party included a mix of dietary preferences—vegetarians, non-vegetarians, and even one person with a no-onion, no-garlic requirement. Despite this, the menu offered something delightful for everyone.
For appetizers, we started with the Veggie Lettuce Wraps, a refreshing dish where crisp, cool lettuce cups were served with a savory, finely diced stir-fry of tofu, water chestnuts, and mushrooms, seasoned to perfection. The Pork Spare Ribs were tender and succulent, glazed with a rich, tangy Asian barbecue sauce that perfectly balanced sweetness and umami. The Dynamite Shrimp were a crowd favorite—lightly battered and fried shrimp tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The Edamame provided a simple yet satisfying option, served steamed with a sprinkling of sea salt, allowing the natural flavor of the soybeans to shine through.
For the main course, the kids opted for the Chicken Fried Rice, a classic dish where fragrant jasmine rice was stir-fried with tender pieces of chicken, broccoli, egg, and a medley of vegetables, all seasoned with soy sauce and just a hint of garlic. The Chicken Pad Thai was a beautiful blend of flavors and textures, featuring tender rice noodles tossed with chicken, tofu, egg, bean sprouts, peanuts, and a tangy tamarind sauce, finished with a squeeze of lime for a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and savory. My friend said that it was a little soggy and would have preferred a little dry. The Pork Fried Rice was equally impressive, with juicy, well-seasoned pork, stir-fried rice, and crisp vegetables all coming together in a dish that was hearty and flavorful.
For dessert, we had a wonderful selection. I chose Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Syrup, a simple yet indulgent treat, with the creamy vanilla ice cream perfectly complemented by the rich, smooth chocolate syrup. Others in our group enjoyed Plain Vanilla Ice Cream, which was wonderfully creamy and full of vanilla bean flavor. The Wall of Chocolate was a showstopper—a decadent, towering slice of rich chocolate cake layered with velvety chocolate mousse, ganache, and topped with chocolate chips, perfect for any chocolate lover. The Cheesecake was also a hit, with its creamy, smooth texture and a buttery graham cracker crust, finished with a hint of vanilla.
The portions were generous, and we ended up packing some of the food to take home. The highlight of the evening was when the staff brought out a small flaming torch along with a cake, allowing us to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to our uncle and conclude the celebration on a high note.
Our waiter was very professional, strictly focused on the business at hand. While he didn’t smile much, he served us efficiently and ensured everything was to our satisfaction. He even helped us capture a group picture, which was a nice touch to end...
Read moreI visited P.F.Chang's 3545 US Highway 1, Princeton, NJ 08540 location on Christmas Eve with my family to celebrate my son's birthday, which is especially meaningful because he was born on Christmas day. We traveled 40 miles for this special occasion, hoping to make it a memorable evening for him. We informed the staff about the celebration ahead of time[ a day in advance] and reminded them twice during our visit, but to our disappointment, the acknowledgment was completely forgotten or possibly ignored. It was heartbreaking to see my son, who was so excited about his special day, left uncelebrated. We understood that it was a busy evening and were patient when the food took longer than usual. However, what made the experience truly frustrating was the lack of care. When we kindly asked a staff member to take a quick photo of our group to capture the moment, they refused, citing how busy they were. It felt like our celebration was not valued, despite the effort we made to plan and travel for this dinner. A Christmas birthday is already a rare and special occasion, and we were hoping the restaurant would help make it feel as special as it deserved to be. Sadly, the lack of acknowledgment and the impersonal experience left us feeling dismissed and deeply disappointed.
While the food and ambiance were good, the cold treatment overshadowed everything else. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains staff to handle special occasions with more warmth and attention, even during peak times. These moments are once-in-a-lifetime for families, and it’s upsetting to leave feeling like they...

I'm not sure where to start with my recent visit to P.F. Chang's. Overall, the experience was just... junk. The food was junk, the service was junk, but there was one huge glaring issue that left a bad taste in my mouth - literally.
This was my first time at P.F. Chang's so I was looking forward to the little treat at the end of the meal: the fortune cookie. It's a small thing, but it's a nice touch that adds a bit of whimsy to the dining experience.
So, when the server brought out the cookies, I was excited to see what words of wisdom awaited me. But, as I cracked open the cookie, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. There was no fortune inside.
I'm not kidding. I opened up the cookie, and it was just a hollow, crunchy shell. No slip of paper, no clever saying, no nothing. It was like they had forgotten the most important part of the fortune cookie experience.
Now, I know what you're thinking: "It's just a fortune cookie, what's the big deal?" But, for me, it's the principle of the thing. If you're going to serve fortune cookies, you should at least have the decency to include a fortune.
The rest of the meal was fine, I guess. The Kung Pao chicken was a bit overcooked, but the flavors were okay. The service was friendly, if a bit slow. But, the fortune cookie debacle left a sour taste in my mouth that I just can't shake.
So, if you're a fan of P.F. Chang's, I'd say stick with it. But, if you're looking for a restaurant that can deliver on the little things, like a decent fortune cookie, you might want to...
