I don't really write reviews but this place seemed off. We came in for some lunch the other day and was excited since we heard about this place and wanted to check it out...The place was pretty empty, the host told us to sit where ever we wanted. The first booth seemed to have ripped and they tried to repair it with some upholstery patches, it looked odd as the color was not the same as the seat and one side had the patch peeling off. The second booth we looked at had the same patches and it seemed like all the booths were like that, so we just sat down and dealt with it.
From the moment we sat it seemed like there were just issues with the whole experience. We were asked what drinks we wanted and with ONLY WATER being ordered they gave us warm/room temp water in big bottle with 2 small glasses to use as cups. It was high 80s that day and humid and was warm in the restaurant. Giving a table warm water seemed odd especially since a few tables from us someone was served a standard size glass with ice water and didn't have the big bottle of warm water on table. When we asked for ice water the waiter goes "so just 1 ice water?" There was 2 of us at the table, why ask how many instead of just bringing 2 since we didn't even order any other drinks the whole time.
Looking through the menu there was a lot amount of options for food and had different choices for dietary restrictions. It was a bit confusing navigating through the menu since it was on a tablet. The food was quite expensive as a regular burger (4oz) was about $13 alone and the standard smash burger was about $9 (for a 2.5oz patty, which not a lot of food) and if you wanted a double it would be an extra $4. The shareable fries were about $9 which is insane for fries. Overpriced food with "Bareburger" giving you the "Bare" amount of food
The food didn't take too long to come out and taking the first bite...the burger was underwhelming. The patty itself lacked flavor and seemed bland, the sauce on it was good. Only after adding more seasoning it tasted better. The fries seemed to be the saving grace of this experience they were crispy and well salted. I honestly enjoyed the fries more than my burger, but $9 fries being the highlight is not worth it.
Overall the experience as a whole left me dissatisfied. The over priced food, weird decor, and strange music made the place feel pretentious with a lack of character, as if it's trying to focus on aesthetic for social media rather than letting the food and restaurant speak for itself. It seems to fall victim to trying to be hip and trendy and it didn't work. I don't know if all locations are like this but as a first time experience it...
Read moreThe potential that Bareburger has skies the limit, unfortunately every part of our experience the other night fell short. The waiter was super friendly but I could't tell if he was getting annoyed with us or the fact that things just kept going wrong.
We decided to go here for a quick bite to eat on a Friday night, there were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 kids. We spent almost $200 and that was after we had a few things comped and some free sundaes for my kids. You go here expecting to get better food then your average Chili's or Applebee's but honestly everything fell flat. Also I know that the sauces are homemade but charging for the sauce is kind of crazy for a burger place.
The food came to the table and everything was either room temp or cold. The burgers, all the sides and the order of onion rings we received were all luke warm. I watched our food sit up on the pass for an extended period of time, the GM said it was for topping purposes. But the food was up there long enough to get cold. We sent back 2 of the burgers and when they were remade and sent back to us it was completely opposite from the first one. Fries were hot and fresh and the burger was hotter, still not hot hot but hotter then before. Although I didn't realize until halfway through my remade burger that they forgot the bacon I had asked for.
My wife also ordered a beer and her first sip into it she almost swallowed a long straight hair so we sent that back as well. I am giving it 3 stars simply because the GM, Jamiel, was very professional and comped some of our drinks, gave my kids free sundaes and a $25 gift card for next time. Sadly I don't think I will be back but the gift card was a nice gesture and much...
Read moreWalked in on Sun, 03Jan and placed our to-go order at 5pm. Ordered 2 burgers, 1 order of chicken fingers, 1 order of fries, and 1 order of brussel sprouts for a total of $58.11. They said it would take 30-35 minutes. We noticed there was only 1 table seated, one couple in front of us who also ordered take-out, and another couple behind us who ordered take-out; we assumed the 30-35 min wait was due to other phone/online orders. We walked around town and came back 35 min later to pick up our food. They said it wasn't ready. I asked how much longer, and they said they couldn't tell me. I waited 10 more minutes (45 min) and then asked to speak to a manger. He said they were backed up and orders are taking over an hour to be ready. He also said some of our items were gluten free and required special handling (note: we didn't ask for any special handling of our food; it just so happens that many menu items are gluten free). I told the manager i need to know how much longer i have to wait and he couldn't give me a time which was not an acceptable response. There was still only 1 table sitting in the dining room, and others walking in and out to pick up their take out orders. No one else was waiting. I told the manager that if he couldn't tell me how much longer, then i'd like a refund, He gladly gave me a refund, with no offer to remediate the issue which is unfortunate, hence the 1...
