Do you know what I hate the most? Do you know what really gets under my skip? That is to see business making false/misleading/dishonest/deceitful advertisements. You can provide a great service or product, but if you are being deceitful to your customers, you'll not get my business...you know what they say, Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
That's is what I find my self in Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza in Weston today. We have visited Anthony's in other locations before, and had received good food and services. So today after my car was finished being serviced, we thought we visit this location for lunch in this location for the first time.
And yes, the wings tasted just as good as other locations, and so were the meatballs. I noticed on the wall which wrote "Local Craft $4.00". Well, that sounds like a good deal. I will have a Funky Buddha.
To my surprise when I got my bill, I noticed that they charged me $6.00 on the beer. I asked the bartender why I was charged $6.00 for a beer brewed locally. The answer I got was: oh, we don't consider that beer local!.
What? Did I hear you right? If Funky Buddha isn't local, what are your local beers for $4.00. Ready for the answer I received? Yuengling!!! Yes, beers from Pennsylvania they consider local but beers from Boca are not.
I know you may say what's the big deal, its only $2.00 different. But, I think the picture is much bigger than just $2.00. If they can be dishonest in $2.00 about the beers, imagine what else they are being dishonest to you about. You can order a nice glass of red wine and you may ended up with a house wine. You may be ordering a nice pot of meatballs, but you could end up with reheated frozen meatballs . And why would you want to support a business who is making misleading advertising to lure customers in and then lied about it. That to me is a big NO NO! Thanks Anthony's. You just don't do it...
Read moreI’m a big fan of Anthony’s food and have frequented this location. However, I brought my friends here for dinner tonight and the service was beyond disappointing. For context, one of us was vegetarian and all others including myself don’t eat red meat, all due to religion. So we chose to order two vegetarian 12 inch pizzas. When ordering we checked the speciality pizza ingredients to make sure what wanted don’t have meat and we directly asked our waitress if there was any meat in the pizza we selected to which she responded “no.” Later when our pizza arrived 3/4 members grabbed a slice each of the 6 slice pizza. So, by the time we realized the funny taste of the pizza wasn’t burrata or red onions and it was bacon half the pizza was bitten into/eaten. Nonetheless, this was extremely upsetting as it violated our commitment to our faith and it wasn’t entirely our fault because, we did our best to check whether the pizza had meat or not and made the effort to confirm with our server. Thus, we asked for a margarita pizza instead since it has no meat. Despite that when our bill arrived it charged us for the other slightly more expensive pizza. When we asked why and explained why we felt this pricing was unfair the waitress told us it was because half of the other pizza had been eaten, in a rude tone which stipulated our concerns weren’t genuine despite my efforts to convey we never would’ve ordered that pizza in the first place if she had told us there was meat in it. Honestly, had she apologized for a very human mistake we would’ve understood and accepted the price yet, it felt like she was upset with us and blaming us for something we actively tried to avoid. As a friend I felt embarrassed for bringing my friends to a restaurant where we were made to feel...
Read moreMy wife and I have had an opportunity to visit mini pizza restaurants here in Westin market. She loves pizza. Unfortunately, this place chose not to service for 45 minutes. And they weren’t busy. After throwing the straws on the table, we didn’t see the waitress again for almost 15 to 20 minutes. When she returned, she took our order five wings original, And a small sausage pizza 12 inch. A half hour later the wings came. 15 minutes after that, we asked her about the pizza as she was walking by us for the umteenth time. She said let me check. We stood up to leave. And all of a sudden, that pizza materialize. I provided a picture of the pizza after we tried.. Did I mention we had to try it in the car? Because we didn’t get the pizza until we’re ready to leave because we’re tired of waiting you have been in the restaurant for an hour. You’ll notice that in the picture of the pizza that all of the ingredients are in the middle of the pizza nothing’s on the end. Yum. This place was highly recommended to us. I’ll be having a talk with those people who recommended it to find out if they’re experience with anything like what we got. To wait an hour to get your food and then have to get it to go. It’s pretty sad. But that’s just a service part of it. Look at this pie. The combination of poor service and poor pizza is a definite, no return. You can do a lot better...
