The place overall is spacious and decorated with leaves and plants. The amount of plants to space is 1/3 an area. The lights aren't too bright and more of a dim cozy vibe. The owner came out and greeted me and my family. The owner was very polite and respectful. She answered my questions about the food and assured the food was of great quality. The food quality was amazing and shocking for the amount of consideration with the food. I noticed when the food was presented that there was lemons thinnly sliced in between the slices of sashimi. The owner clarified that the lemons were used to pact the oder of the fish. The taste did have a minimal sour taste but very avoidable. The shrimp sushi had hidden wasabi underneath it. I guess that it's the same reason as the sashimi with lemon. Overall the food was delicious. The rolls with fried tempura shrimp weren't greasy. The rolls rice ratio was 1/3 rice to 2/3 ingredient. The owner was very nice and price was reasonable for the amount of food. I highly recommend this place. I'll come back when I have the time to travel back.

As a Chinese-American, I’m not always trusting of sushi / Chinese combination restaurants, but Lu’s definitely hits the spot! I came with my family and we ordered the crispy beef, orange chicken, teriyaki salmon, sushi roll, Taiwanese beef noodle soup, and smoothies for the table. There are a mix of authentic and Americanized options available so worth asking if you’re not sure - I believe the chef is Taiwanese so they get some credibility there. Standouts were the beef noodle soup (super tender beef and good taste - comparable to what you can find at the Chinese Cafe in Westmont) and the crispy beef, which has a similar flavor profile to the orange chicken but, as the name suggests, is a bit more crispy. 😋 I believe their sushi chef came also came from Tao in Chicago which reflects in the quality of the rolls. Service was excellent and it’s a nice ambiance. I’m told they have musicians on certain weekend nights which draw a big audience. Hopefully it catches on more with the Naperville Chinese community, there’s definitely good eats to be had!

Surprise in the corner of Wheaton's Danada square. The restaurant is not obvious but their food packs a delicious bite! The presentation of their food is really outstanding, adding to the appeal of their dishes! It reflects their attention to detail. The restaurant has a beautiful interior, very soothing and quiet. Good ambience to relax and meet up with friends. I came here twice and both times they did not disappoint. The first time I came I had the more typical Chinese cuisine with fish and friend noodles (no photos unfortunately). The second visit I tried the Pad Thai and walnut shrimp. The walnut shrimp is ridiculously delicious! So creamy, sweet and perfectly deep friend with crispy exterior and tender interior! The pad thai however falls short and does not resemble what a pad thai should look or taste like. It is more like a stir friend tomato noodles with flat noodles. It's tastes ok but not quite what was imagined.

This review site won't let me post unless I click on at least one star. I wish there's a "no star" rating. This is a deceiving place with very rude service, and greatly over priced food. I've been going there on and off because it's the closest Chinese restaurant to my house, and my daughter likes a dish or two they make, but I am not going there ever again. I would rather drive far and away or skip Chinese food altogether than going to that place. Food is average but priced about 30% over average price of the same item sold elsewhere. The head waitress is extremely loud and imposing. The businessowner lady is arrogant, rude, and deceitful, completely lacking professional manner and regard for her customers. My daughter ordered a tempura roll on the phone with extra ginger on the side, something other restaurants would gladly do without extra charge (it's just a few slices of pickled ginger!). When we picked up the order and I questioned rather politely the $2 charge on the receipt, the businessowner immediately lashed out on me and my daughter in front of a roomful of customers, practically screaming "I asked her on the phone if she wanted extra ginger on the side!" (not mentioning that she did not say anything about the $2 charge) She raised her voice for no reason whatsoever. She then shoved another customer receipt to my face with a $2 extra charge for wasabi and said "Look, we give customers extra if they ask!" I feel bad for that customer and all others who are getting an extra $2 here, $2 there charges that they probably are not even aware of. Not that $2 is worth the worry per se, but the whole experience of getting charged in a sneaky way like that and, especially, being screamed at in front of other customers for merely asking about it, is bad, bad, and bad. It feels like being robbed much much more than a mere $2. I walked out of that place feeling like having just swallowed a raw stinky egg and wanted to toss that bag of food into the garbage can if it weren't because my daughter was very hungry. Don't spend your hard earned money there. They have a nice web page and pleasant interior decor that is totally deceiving. They might even put on bountiful of smiles when they welcome you first time into the restaurant, but they don't deserve to be in business treating customers with total deceit and...

Totally deceiving place, had a work order placed for 4 people and menu said they would give us spring roll and soup or salad for 7.95 for lunch per person. Found out that that was totally a lie. They said they would not gove us the soup or salad unless we dined in and would not give the spring roll either. Didnt even try and compensate us at all with a cheaper price or even attempt to make it the 1 time. Highly not satisfied.

What happened to pleasing the customer.... if you want any type of chinese, Japanese or Korean food. Look somewhere else.

Response from the ownerin the last week

Hello, Corey, sorry for the misunderstanding. It is printed on the take out menu that lunch specials come with rice (Vegetable Fried or White Rice) and spring roll for $7.95. I believe it is a reasonable price for a lunch that fit in a 32oz container with a spring roll. I hope we will have another chance to better serve youhere. Joyce

Joyce, i was told the spring rolls were not included and if the soup or salad is not included you should adjust the price for such. Every other chinese, japanese or korean place around offers choice of fried rice and sides like soup or salad to go.

Commit to satisfy the customers in order for the...

First of all that was our first time at this restaurant and we were not familiar with menu. We ordered two thai bowl soups, lo main with beef and pad thai with shrimp. Waiter took our order and went to get our drinks. We started get confused when someone next to our table ordered probably the same soup and it was huge, serve as a main dish, so when he came back with our drinks we asked him what size soups are. He confirmed that they are very big, and he asked if we would like to cancel it. We agreed. Our dishes came and I noticed that my pad tai was soked in sweet and sour sauce. That was not what I was expecting. My dish was totally ruined and tasted whey to sweet for my taste. After a while another person brought soup that we previously canceled. Since I couldn't eat my pad tai, I tried the soup. It was lovely except noodles. They were not cooked properly so I ended up eating only broth with meet and some vegetables. My husband dish (lo main) was the best of all that we ordered, but I would expect more meet and vegetables in it. Their green tea was bad too. I do not know how you can ruin tea but obviously they nailed it. Unfortunately we are not...
