Out West Trading Co — Local services in Whitefish

Bozeman store is not great. I received a wonderful black Glyder sweater for Christmas. I loved it but it was too big so I went in to exchange it but they didn't have the right size. The cashier was friendly and kind but instead of giving me store credit, she mistakenly refunded the card used for the purchase which was not mine because it was a gift. They then said there was no way of reversing the transaction and I couldn't receive store credit until their financial controller Kristen was in and that could be any number of hours or maybe even the next day. Long story short I ended up having to pay for my own gift because of their mistake. To make things worse there was no dressing room to try on any of their clothes which was quite perplexing. Even tho they were friendly enough I will not be shopping there again. Having to call my step mom and have her venmo me money for my own gift seemed silly when they could have easily just let me have credit and figured it out on their end later since i came prepared with gift and regular receipts and it was entirely their mistake. This shop had some pretty cute designs on a variety of products—t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, stickers, and more. Prices were a little on the high side for some items and a bit more reasonable for others. I went in twice and both times the staff was pretty silent and not friendly at all. I get not being a huge talker but at least saying ‘Hi’...

Absolutely obsessed with this shop! Not only is the a perfect gift for anyone you would ever need to shop for (or get for yourself), but made to last! The quality of products is impressive. This is a shop the Whitefish has needed for a long time. This has become a go to shop in town for locals and will surely become a routined stop...
