I was extremely excited to have a cava near by so I didn’t have to drive far. However the experience I was provided with make the 40 min drive to Pasadena worth it. The employees seemed lost like they didn’t know what they were doing and they didn’t want to be there. A female wearing a black polo which I assumed is the manager, started taking our order, granted she had no customer service skills and I felt like I was an inconvenience to her. She started by bowl and then walked to the back of the restaurant we waiting like 5 minutes before another employee asked if the bowl that was left unattended was ours, we were not done ordering so this other employee took the rest of our order. The initial employee never came back out or even told another employee to continue our order. After we pay we go to sit down and I get up to get utensils and napkins but there were no napkins there and the are was very messy with the doors under the soda machine open. I asked an employee if I could have napkins and she said it would be a while before she can give me napkins, well I stood there and waited like 5 minutes. I then went back to the soda machine area and looked through the open doors to see if I could find napkins myself, but I didn’t so I went back to the register area where another employee asked what I needed, he literally looked behind him and got napkins, took him 10 seconds. To the management or owners seriously evaluate your employees because they behave as if they want to ruin your...
Read moreWanted Cava tonight but had a horrible experience. I entered at 9:53 today November 11, 2024. As soon as I entered all employees walked to front ready to serve me. I was rushed by all workers to put in my order. I cooperated and order quickly. I was aware of what time they closed but it was not my first time ordering. On a regular day I’d be able to helped out down the entire front line within five minutes. My order consisted of two bowls. Their whole front line was taken down. Who knows how early they started putting everything away. I understand wanting to leave early but with SIX workers on the clock I’m pretty sure if they would’ve started taking down everything at the time they're supposed to they would've gotten out at a decent time. Once it was time to choose my toppings they had mentioned everything was in the back already. If had knew beforehand I wouldn’t have ordered at all!!!! Once it was time to pay I realized I was only charged for one bowl. A couple behind me ordered the same. They as well were charged only one bowl. I’m not sure if they believed that would have satisfied us but it did not. Very disappointed with the service and presentation of...
Read moreAs a long-time vegan customer who has supported CAVA in Whittier regularly, I’m extremely disappointed—and honestly, frustrated—with how this location has handled its ongoing issue. For over three weeks, they’ve been completely out of vegetables, and according to management, it’s because their oven is broken.
Let me be clear: there are many other ways to cook vegetables. A stovetop, steamer, grill—there are plenty of options. To go this long without finding a solution sends a clear message: vegan and plant-based customers are not a priority here.
Each time I’ve come in hoping things had been resolved, I’m met with the same excuse and a menu that barely accommodates my dietary needs. It feels like CAVA corporate or local management has just written us off. What’s worse is that there seems to be no urgency in fixing the issue or offering a reasonable alternative.
I genuinely used to enjoy coming here and appreciated having a place where I could build a flavorful and filling vegan bowl. But it’s hard to support a business that doesn’t value all of its customers equally. Until this is addressed—and fixed—I won’t be returning.
