If you order from Slo Roast on any of the food delivery platforms, you're getting food from a "ghost kitchen" at this restaurant. The food was not well made or well presented. The salad was good but it had a massive core sitting in the middle. Why leave that? Take it out. That took up half the weight of the salad. It was decent other than that. Another annoying thing was the Sriracha on everything. Not everyone can have spice. It is everywhere now and it's frustrating for someone who medically can't eat spice. I got the roasted Brussel sprouts. They had Sriracha Aioli sauce on them. Wasn't too spicy but they were beyond burnt and smashed into a cup. Not presentable at all. They were bitter because they were so burnt. I tried the Mac and Cheese couscous. I love both of those things separate. Bet they are amazing together. I did ask to keep out the Sriracha aioli. They put it on the side. Which was very kind of them. The problem was they were really bland. Maybe the aioli helps with that but I make my couscous in chicken/beef broth. These tasted like they were made in water. The dipping sauce helped but I think they could be improved by using beef broth and calling them cheeseburger balls instead. Would be really good and don't need tons of dip and aioli to provide flavor. That's more of a personal preference though. So I ignored that. For a nearly $8 side though.. On to the main dish. I got a ribeye with the salad and white cheddar mashed potatoes. Let me say those white cheddar mashed potatoes were amazing. Smooth, flavorful, and just perfect side. So this place is delivery only. I chose a rare ribeye. It was rare. Rare should be cool in the center. The entire ribeye was very cold. Like the fat had become that gross gritty weird texture and plain white like it does when it's cold. It wasn't translucent at all. I can understand to expect it to be not optimal when delivering. However when all you do is deliver your food, I should be able to get my steak close to restaurant quality. There should be more of an attempt to reach that. I don't know if there was here but it was not close at all. My rare steak had to be heated and was no longer rare. For those prices and a business that is solely delivery. Unacceptable. I would post this on slo Roast but you can't find anywhere to post this. It doesn't come up since its a ghost kitchen. My containers say BJs though. If you're going to allow a ghost kitchen to run out of your restaurant and use your containers, expect complaints to be directed your way. At the end of the day it was a BJs kitchen that produced this food. It was subpar and poor quality. The steak was very difficult to eat and I didn't even get utensils like I had asked. I won't be ordering from here again. There were some great parts, but the awful parts outweighed that and made the price not worth it in today's economy. Hopefully you do better for the...

Today, I decided to go out for drinks for happy hour and I guess out of nowhere I chose BJ's Brewhouse. I'll admit, the happy hour menu has some decent deals, but whether the food is good, is hit and miss. I've been to BJ's in the past and had some phenomenal stuff. But when you order cheap, I guess you get what you pay for. I ended up getting the Chips & Dips, and chose Queso as my opinion to dip my chips in. I'll admit it was ok, had a little spice, but felt like it was thick with maybe a little flour in it. I'm not sure about it, but the consistency of the queso, reminded me of that. It was still decent in the end. After my appetizer, I ordered the mini deep dish pizza. I'm a thin crust fan through and through, but I really enjoyed this even though like most deep dish pizzas, it was kinda greasy. But the toppings and sauce was actually f'ing delicious. For $7, I'll say it was well worth it, and a decent value for a place like BJ's. I'm not gonna lie, this is the worst meal I've had at BJ's, but when you order cheap off the happy hour menu, you get what you pay for. Not including the beers, my food was $11 plus tax. I guess you can't beat that for an app and a smaller pizza. Anyways, my phone is about to die, and I've had a couple, so if there's typos, or I sound like an idiot posting this, I really don't care.

Dinner today.... BJ's Brewhouse.... My last visit to BJ's I kinda enjoyed my meal. It was a pizza that was a happy hour special. This time, ugh. Kinda disappointed. And I used to praise this place years ago before I knew what good food was. I ordered their Jambalaya. The shrimp was a little too fishy. But it wasn't every shrimp on my plate that tasted that way. It was here and there. Like they mixed old product with newer product. Which is a no no in the food industry. The rice in most Jambalayas is usually popping with flavor. This stuff was kinda bland but a little spicy at the same time. I could taste what I thought was tumeric. But don't quote me on that. The chicken in it, I have no complaints about. It was average. Wasn't bad, but nothing extraordinary about it. The andouille sausage on the other hand, I did quite enjoy. Good amount of heat, and decently seasoned. I had a sandwich earlier today that cost $7 less than this plate. The sandwich was 1000 times better. Honestly, I would have gladly spent $6 or so more at another establishment to have a better meal. BJ's is starting to give me a distaste for chain restaurants. And this place was packed. Makes...

We had a party of 25. We called and made a reservation. We were seated at 2 tables and a booth. The booth had a separate wait staff with no issues. The two tables had one wait staff. We ordered and fries were missing from 2 appetizers, one appetizer never came and one appetizer came as the meals were being served. We were told the fries were being cooked, but 20-30 minutes later when the meals came and the sandwiches and burgers had fries, we still didn’t get ours. We asked again and were assured that the problem would be taken care of and that we would get the fries and the missing appetizer at no charge, we just had to mark it out on the receipt and the manager would take care of it because the wait staff couldn’t do that. Fries and pot stickers finally came while everyone was ordering dessert. As an apology he offered free dessert to the part of our party that was not having ordering issues. Not sure how that helped the rest of us. Dessert finally came, except for the two of us that waited 30 minutes on fries and another person. Ours came as everyone else was finished, so they all felt obligated to wait on us and we ended up not finishing our “not free” dessert because it is awkward when 22 people are waiting on you to eat. We asked for water refills multiple times and we were assured a pitcher would be brought to the table, but he must have forgotten. So we had one glass of water for the whole meal, including a very sweet dessert. I finally ate my ice in an effort to get a little water. When we complained about all of the food being so late for some of us we were graciously given coupons to use on another visit. One coupon expired on May 31, almost a month ago, and one expires tomorrow. Then we were given a lovely speech about tipping and asked to take care of them because they took care of us. All of the food was on the bill for us to pay for, even the items we were assured would be...

I ordered through Doordash. 12 0z ribeye dinner. With Asparagus, baked potato, butter, sour cream, utinsils, napkins, plates. To be delivered to the hotel I am staying at after driving for hours and am exhausted. The order arrived with no butter or sour cream for the baked potato. No utinsils, napkins or plates. I called the restaurant and was told they don't do delivery I should call Doordash. I said it wasn't Doordash who made the mistake it was you, she said yes it was us. No apology, no resolution. I contacted doordash and they said they could not offer a refund. I'm in a hotel, so running to the fridge for butter and sour cream is not an option. I began eating. The Asparagus had so much pepper I had to rinse it in the hotel sink to get most of it off. I started on the 12 0z ribeye. I had to rip all of the fat off with my hands. See the photos of the fat covering most of the plate. I ordered it cooked medium, it was red, not pink. I was left with maybe 2 ounces to eat. And a cold, dry baked potato. I understand that everyone makes mistakes. But restaurants have to make certain that orders are complete before sending them out. And, when a customer calls, please handle the issue much better than she did.
