Sundance Pizza — Restaurant in Wickenburg

I have to say I did not wanna leave this review, but I was Left thinking about this all night. First time going there I get to the window Saying it’s my first time there asked if they had a menu that I could physically look at the older gentleman just points to the menu above and it’s just in disarray. At that point my fault I should’ve just walked out did not have that good feeling so asked if they had to go menu he says yes I asked him if I could have a to go menu. Give me one. I brought a guest so I did not basically want to just walk out rudely, but I should have so I’m looking around trying to figure out what to order really not being helpful guy just standing there. Nobody really saying anything. I asked there were specials he says look above at that point he did not know what he was doing and I just again should’ve walked to help because it just was not polite so we order Chicken wings zucchini that’s fried and pizza and the total came to $34 which was outrageous And absolutely not worth it the food and the price or the amount. Then I noticed on there to go menu they say they have a medium pizza 18 chicken wings and a 2 L drink for $36 exactly what we ordered separately for three dollars more I was furious. The quality of the food was not good. The chicken wings were underdone could not even eat them. The zucchini was overcooked. My friends pizza was decent that’s about it had to ask for a refill because they filled the cup so full with ice you got three steps and you were done How they had just suggested the menu item the special that would’ve been great for three dollars more considering I only got six chicken wings, some burnt fries and a cup of ice to drink for over 13+ dollars.. staff was not happy did not engage. Old man did not know what he was doing. I would really love my money back. That was the biggest waste of time and money and it really bothered me. I would not recommend this place at all. Nobody knows what they’re doing. They’re not friendly didn’t ask anything Waste of time energy and money with not so get a food for the price that they charge. And in today’s society where every dollar is value, I would tell you to spend it somewhere else. Very disappointed not to mention, sat down in the booth. The booze was broken so overall experience was not good quite embarrassing and will not recommend to anyone overpriced. Honestly, I was just looking to see how far it was to drive, from Spokane WA to Sundance Pizza in Wickenburg AZ.

However,, I can give an awesome review of this place. Even though it's been a couple years since I've been there,, it definitely left a very lasting impression.

Their Pizza is good, but it's their Blue Cheese Chicken Salad, and Jumbo Milkshakes that I was after. I was working in Wickenburg, for about a month. I was looking for some good old fashioned pizza, when I discovered Sundance. I ordered a personal pizza, with sausage, bacon, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers, and the biggest strawberry milkshake they could make. The pizza was excellent, and the milkshake was still to this day, hands down the best milkshake I have ever had. (Hence the reason I was looking up the distance, because I was thinking about a road trip,, just to get their milkshake!)

While thoroughly enjoying my pizza, and shake. I noticed someone eating a salad, and oh man, was it a salad! It was huge!! I finished up my pizza, and left with the rest of my shake. As I was headed back to base, I thought to myself, "I think I'll go back tomorrow, and get me a salad. And so, it came to pass. I went back the next day, and had a Blue Cheese Chicken Salad, and a Jumbo Strawberry Milkshake. I was not disappointed. Somehow, that was the best salad, I ever had! The accompanying milkshake, even better than the one the day before!! I'm thinking "how is this possible?" Then it hits me,, Sundance Pizza, is run on Love. The love of good service, and good food! I visited Sundance probably a dozen times or more, while I was in Wickenburg.

Treated me, combat veteran of the Marine Corps with no respect. Try to lie to me and sale me a cold pizza, that I saw when I walked in that was sitting out under the makeup air supply and even the disrespectful man that was yelling at the other worker and questioning her why my pizza was out. While both were arguing about this, he failed to notice I been there standing for 5 mins already. But he tried to make me look and sound stupid. I observed the pizza sitting on the counter for the time that I walked in until he was questioning the employee why it was sitting out. This place is not veteran friendly nor do they acknowledge veterans. I can say this cause he thought it was funny I am a Marine Corps Veteran. That being said shows the way this company sees our country. For the town of Wickenburg and me being from here, this establishment has shown everything that Wickenburg is not about. This establishment is not veteran friendly I say again. And do not recommend this place to anyone. Want good pizza, Qorris. Worst place ever. The fact of how they treat veterans and the fact he would lie to a customer about what I observed coming in and watching him have a spat with his employee about why the pizza was sitting out. Establishment refused to make their wrong a right. It’s ok. Cause bad reviews and word of mouth will hurt. Especially when you grew up in the town...
