A cute little breakfast spot fighting against the Uncle Bill behemoth. The French toast with ham and brie I got was excellent, though in theory could've used an apple? I might be wrong there but it felt like it was one ingredient from something really special for a unique take on the Monte Cristo... However my wife had the more standard platter of breakfast items. The pancakes were great, the eggs were good and sadly the sausages were terrible (flavorless and dense). On its own it is a great spot for breakfast and quite affordable. It's just fighting against Uncle Bill's for breakfast in this area and that is a tough fight, tying or losing on every metric listed. However I must mention the secret sauce of Sunz Up, the unique call that UB doesn't have: the Messes. Piled high messes of all the breakfast things with different flavor profiles. I would highly recommend these when you go, I had them when I went last time (a year ago).

You can't vacation in the summer in Wildwood Crest and not stop at Sun'z Up Cafe for breakfast, or lunch. It is our family's tradition! Get there early to avoid a line of hungry people, but you are seated fairly quick even when it's busy. We are always greeted by the hostesses with a big smile and a warm welcome. The waitstaff is quick, super friendly, and very attentive. The food is fresh and off-the-chart delicious. There is alot to choose from on their menu and you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Take a look at the photos. The food is as good as it looks! Sun'z Up staff where pretty cool tie dye cafe shirts, which you can purchase there as well and we did because we love them so much!

Wow! We have our favorite restaurants, and until last year, they hadn't included breakfast places. Last year, we tried The Jellyfish. We were disappointed that they were closed, and stumbled upon Sunz Up on a search for breakfast.

TLDR- we have a new favorite breakfast place, and have broadened our list of beach must eats while here.

The owned greeted and seated seated us, and apologized up front that she was short staffed in both the kitchen and on the floor. But, if that was short-staffed, that place must be zipping with full staff! And the food did not suffer in the least! It was prepared with passion and love and tons of care. Our server was friendly and professional, even though she was running herself ragged.

I had the Veggie Benedict, and it was gorgeous! The egg perfectly poached, completely set white, and beautifully runny yolk The hash browns were well seasoned, beautifully pillowy, and not greasy in the least. The fresh fruit was visually beautiful, great quality and delicious!

My husband had the kielbasa omelet, and said he had sausage on every bite. He said even the toast was good ! My oldest son had the three pigs omelet, and loved it, plenty of fillings. My youngest son and nephew had the beach bum special, and were both suitably impressed and completely satisfied.they loved how light and fluffy the pancakes were. The portions are generous, my husband had to finish my Benedict and hash browns.

The orange juice is fresh squeezed and delicious, the tea is obviously fresheshly brewed, and I'm not a coffee drinker, but theirs smelled amazing.

The ingredients used are top notch, the decor is cute, beachy and inviting without being kitschy, with little touches like beach buckets as planters and smaller tin one as jelly caddies.

Sunz Up is a new addition to our beach routine. Can't wait to see them again next year, and we'll be craving it till then.

To the staff of Sunz Up, THANK YOU for an amazing experienced. Have a great winter and we'll see you in September '24! UPDATE - 9/24

Well, every bit as good as we remembered!

Just wanted to add that the attention to detail is insane! Have you ever had a fruit cup with hard, waxy honeydew and cantaloupe? Not here! Everything in the fruit cup was extremely fresh, plump and at the peak of flavor! The orange juice, still freshly squeezed, and tastes like you're biting into a primo orange. The spinach in my veggie bliss was fresh and delicious, and the cream cheese added the perfect touch.

The decor is fresh and beachy, without being kitchy or cloying. And the staff is fast, knowledgeable and personable. Our gentleman server was friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We went on Tuesday this week and are returning tomorrow, too! Sunz Up is...

BEWARE WHEN COMING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! YOU MIGHT BE ASSAULTED BY THE RESTAURANT OWNERS AND EMPLOYEES! I came to Sunz Up Cafe with my friends to have a casual breakfast. We spent $111.00 and waited over an hour for our food!! When we were pulling away (we were by the light), a male employee with glasses ran up to the car. He begins to scream, "Why were you in my dumpster? What did you take from my dumpster?" We were all confused. The establishment's dumpster is gated with a very high fence. We just spent $111 and we had no reason to go into a dumpster and take garbage. The male employee with glasses reached into my boyfriend's car and ripped the glasses off my friend's face and ran away. Our friend exits the vehicle and asks for the sunglasses back. The male employee with glasses continues to scream and yell to call the cops. The male employee with glasses pushes my friend and I ask to please refrain from touching any of us. The male employee with glasses goes in front of my boyfriend and asks to be punched and hit. Another employee also comes to my face asks me to punch her. For our safety and security, we backed away and the cops arrive. The cops expressed this is NOT THE FIRST CALL they have received and it has happened before. We were just civilians eating breakfast and supporting a small business. I did not anticipate to be harassed and assaulted over something as ABSURD as "we were in the dumpster". The establishment did not have cameras to show the cops, my friend was simply standing by the parking lot smoking a cigarette. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND being careful when choosing to come eat here as 1. the service is extremely slow for breakfast food, 2. you might be blamed for stealing garbage from their dumpster after...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! We waited a little while to get seated. The waitress took our drink order and delivered drinks to our table. There was no silverware on the table. When we asked for it, the waitress plopped a handful of silverware on the table. When we tried to take a spoon to stir the coffee, she complained to us about the owner and said to please let her place our silverware so she doesn't get in trouble. We put in our food order and waited at least 45 minutes to have it delivered to our table. It looked good; however, the food was cold. When informed the waitress, she took the plates back to the kitchen. A few minutes later the owner approached our table and said that the kitchen didn't have time to remake our food. When we asked about having it reheated, she told us that the food wasn't cold. She said the plates were hot. They were not hot! The waitress balanced all 4 plates in her hands and on her arms. She would have been burned! She then said that the cooks touched our food and it was hot to the touch. The food was not hot. IT WAS COLD! After telling us that the cook handled our food, she wanted us to take the food back as is or leave! THE WAITRESS WAS UNPROFESSIONAL AND THE OWNER WAS...
