Original Hot Spot — Restaurant in Wildwood

Disappointing in all aspects.

Between the 3 pizzas we ordered, each tasted entirely different. And each tasted low quality, rubbery, or like it was made with bland spaghetti sauce.

The service was poor at best. Our waitress ignored our initial order, then took our entire order. Brought out an extra drink, we immediately told her we did not order it, she ignored that, and left it on the table and on the bill. (Which we had to request and explain to be removed at check out). Never came to check in the table. We had to request silverware from a different waitress as our ran past our table each time we tried to request any.

When we were paying with who we assume is a manager, we told her the service was not good. Fully expecting to explain why. But she just laughed about it and said “oh, what can you do?...” followed by her saying “I tel her to smile more”

Overall. Do not eat here. It is not anything similar to “boardwalk pizza” let alone calling it “pizza”. Seems like it survives off nostalgia and a reputation it does not deserve. Or simply the fact that it’s on the boardwalk.

Ordered a kids meal and a white pie. The kids meal came out and 30 minutes later a little longer the pie comes out and there was no ricotta on the white pie. White pie everywhere is Mozzarella and Ricotta. The White pie we waited over 30 minutes for was simply Mozzarella on dough!!!!????? Like what and no the restaurant wasn't even at half capacity for it to have taken that long and for it to be missing one of the two main ingredients... never again. Have been coming to this exact same hot Spot for 26 years and this is the first time I left extremely disappointed and the kids meatball hero was missing the Mozzarella :( this place went down hill big time not sure what happened to this former favorite spot of ours, guess we will give Macks a try, hear alot of people talk about their pizza. Once we find a spot we like we don't change but it is finally time to move on ...... :(

The waiter was super super nice and attentive. Kept checking if we needed anythin, gave him a nice tip which he very much deserved. Wish I would have...

I've been coming here for years with my family but this time was a bit disappointing. My kids and I ordered individual slices and my husband a gyro. Our usual when we come here. My husband loved his gyro, however our pizza slices were way over reheated. Like the crust was akin to biting a cracker. Then I get the check and go to pay. The girl at the register, without making eye contact with me asks how my meal was. I start to tell her it was ok except the pizza. Midsentence she cuts me off and tells me my total and asks if I want to tip on my card....I pay and turn back to my table to get my family to leave and on the way 2 waitress almost run into me and a third Male waiter comes up behind me while I am walking in the same direction, says excuse me so I move out of HIS way for him to stop not 4 tables away. I passed him to get to my table. It wasn't a heavy tray either with 4 small baskets on it. This just left a really bad taste for me and I think we might be breaking our summer...
