Hot Spot on Oak — Restaurant in Wildwood

Diner food on the beach at its finest. The loaded fries were delicious though I feel like the fries could have been a little more integrated with the cheese, bacon and etc. it was sort of just piled on top. The burger was alright, tasted like a diner burger, nothing too special. We ordered soda and we got really flat tasting liquid.

The waitress serving us seemed really nice and dedicated but would have appreciated not being rushed as much. She also almost assumed that I wanted a larger size of soda when I insisted I wanted the small. She kept being a little pushy with the ordering and it was almost in a I don’t have time for your table kind of way.

Overall if you’d like to eat off the boardwalk in an air conditioned diner, while people watching, this place is for you. But don’t expect to eat something out of this world. And don’t bother ordering the soda or lemonade, unless it’s the freshly squeezed lemonade which doesn’t come from the soda machine. Probably wouldn’t come back again...

Dishes looked good ! But that’s as far as it went! We got three orders of sausages & peppers with onions. one sweet & two hot with a side of fries. On a hoagie first of all the sausage was full on one and the other side was half way full of the sausage on the other so basically peppers with bread! But the worst part was that neither the hot or sweet tasted like anything. I mean nothing. The peppers and onions had more taste than the Sausage! Must be old or left out a long time Let’s just say I wasted my time and money! I know it’s boardwalk food but come on sausage and peppers you can’t really mess that up! And worst of it all my stomach didn’t really agree...

I was disappointed with my recent experience. My wife didn’t enjoy the coffee, and the orange juice tasted like it was made from concentrate rather than fresh. The food took longer than expected to arrive, and I noticed someone who ordered after me received their food before I did. To top it off, I found a hair in my home fries, but I had already eaten most of my meal by then, so I didn't mention it. However, my sandwich was very good and I did eat all of it. (Before the hair). I have to mention that I saw another customer leave very upset after waiting over 30 minutes...
