Marvis Diner — Restaurant in Wildwood

DELICIOUS. Bruh how many stars can I give this place? We came in expecting an average American diner but we were BLOWN AWAY. Is this what a gourmet diner experience is?!?!

This felt like a fancy restaurant mastering the art of diner food. The food tastes homemade. Every single thing we got was 1) enormous and 2) delicious. I felt like Guy Fieri had personally manifested this Googie beauty and dropped it into easily walkable Wildwood. For example the waffle fries were perfectly baked, creating a mashed potato inside with crunchy outside😍 and they were perfectly salted and so addicting to eat...same with the fried fish!

Our waiter had a sense of humor while also being very polite and soft-spoken; he was so genuine and kind. The hostess was very welcoming and understanding.

Meal by meal breakdown...My mom was blown away by the freshness of the chicken soup (she said it had a grandma's-cooking feel to it). My dad always orders fish and chips on vacation, so he is our control group, and he too was highly impressed, saying this take on the dish was something sensational. Lastly I got the Shrimp Diavolo and man, they gave me a portion that could easily feed a family of 5. Afterwards I had to take it to the motel fridge in a box and I was emotional that I couldn't finish it all. Honestly I even felt that way during the meal...I was sad that I was getting full!

Long story short, this place NAILED it. 10/10. The photos don't do it enough justice, it was AMAZING! Couldn't have been better, from the presentation to the chefs to the staff. Next time we're in Wildwood, we're going here...

Went for breakfast at marvis...the adventure started with a full house on Saturday so we put our names on the wait list , went very quickly and within minutes we were sat. Once at the table the server(maria) greeted us with a very pleasant smile while not rushing us and allowing us the control to decide what we wanted.I went with the philadelphia skillet and my wife went with a custom omelet with tomatoes ,About 5 mins later the food arrived and to our surprise the portion where huge and we'll worth the value and very tasty to boot . the detail to the tomatoes was awesome they were marinated not just plain .the skillet was huge and came in a sautee pan ,coffee and water for the both of us , the coffee was delicious! Above average for diner coffee .As I proceeded the sever was back twice to check on coffee and us to make sure we were content .as we were finishing the sever was very attentive even tho she just had been double sat with new tables. Requested boxes since the portion was so big that we would have to finish at a later time..the busser was attentive as well as she grabbed the boxes without the server having to direct her .first time there very pleased at this well managed,very tasty,generous establishment one that this customer will be putting on his return visit list. Ps. To the owners The reuse of the older kitchen equipment for flower beds is very doo woop and was very cool artisticly. We ordered over the phone for breakfast. We ordered about 7 meals with drinks pretty easy order, not complex at all. As someone that use to work at the food industry I believe in being very respectful to clients. The lady was a little disrespectful and keep saying “what” when I was pretty clear on what I ordered. Her tone was not friendly at all. When we went to get the food, there was blonde curly hair woman that was there. Told her about the order so she went to check. At one point a younger woman approached the register. I can hear her tone was alot more friendly so asked for her assistance on paying. She was super kind and so I mentioned it to her . Also, informing her that the woman that answered the phone was a little ruin. As a server approached and the curly blonde lady, one of them raised their voice (not friendly way) saying your the big order to go. We were passive the whole time. On vacation not trying to argue at all. Then they had my order as paid When I did not pay over the phone. They seem to be confused at all and then started to get a nasty tone again. I’m glad I did not have the pleasure to eat there because the servers were not friendly from the jump. I will say, however, the food was delicious. Kudos to the younger woman that was...
