I am a foodie I work in the industry and I come from one of the most famous number one restaurant in North central Florida “LA CREPE EN HAUT” I will give you a look inside virtually without you even going there… To start I made a reservation. Young lady answered the phone we showed up at 7 o’clock sat right down secondly we were greeted immediately wine was opened immediately a very friendly gentleman introduced himself to us, and told us some of the features this was a very special occasion. My mother was visiting from Pennsylvania. I live in the Crest in the summer and spend my winters in Florida. I have been doing that for 35 years straight. We ordered a very delicious mozzarella and tomato appetizer appetizer was well presented even had some fresh avocado, which was a very nice touch on this dish.. my mom had the veal Parmesan and I had the Osso Buco.. it’s important to know that I started in the back of the house cooking before I made it to the front as a fine dining waiter as I would like to complement the chef that the food he prepared and presented on my very first visit here I would have to rate “ phenomenal” I did notice the people working there all in unison doing what they’re supposed to be doing. A young lady brought the water another one cleared to plate. Everyone dressed beautifully. Looking around at the people eating their extremely elegant… not everyone dining got dressed up, but 85% were. I met the owner, extremely nice professional well groomed, well mannered very pleasant told him when I’m telling you. The decor inside the well dressed, staff, the well presented food. and one of the best waiters to wait on us on our first visit made this visit one I will treasure and honor you with this review my reviews have been seen by over 200,000 views. for dessert, I asked them to go above and beyond and make me a dessert sampler, and which my request was honored. In closing I would give five stars on every level of service I received five stars on food five stars on presentation. It does get a little noisy as small places do but that did not affect our experience. I found it all delightful and I thank you for...
Read moreWe recently tried Venezia during the winter season, and while the ambiance was cozy, the overall experience left much to be desired.
The food was mediocre.. not terrible, but certainly not memorable. We ordered from the winter menu, which may not reflect their usual offerings and may have been our mistake.
Portions were surprisingly small: the appetizer (one per person) included just two small pieces of bruschetta and about six rings of calamari. While the main dishes were a decent size, the flavors didn’t quite deliver. The sauce tasted a bit off, not bad but not great. The linguini and clams was good, but there wasn't a lot of clam.
Service was very slow, though we suspect this may have been due to seasonal staffing challenges. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn when we noticed a cockroach crawling on the wall near the end of our meal, which was quite unsettling. We didn't make a fuss but it kept coming around during dessert.
On a positive note, the desserts were outstanding. The limoncello bomb was a delightful surprise, and the homemade tiramisu was truly fantastic. This was easily the highlight of the evening.
Overall, Venezia was a new spot to try, but with better options nearby, we’re...
Read moreThe food here was fantastic. Hot and fresh and very flavorful. The restaurant is BYOB and our server did seem surprised when my husband and I didn’t come in with a bottle of wine and just chose plain water to drink. (I am wondering if they charge a fee to open a bottle of wine). We did order bruschetta as an appetizer. Small portion but good flavor. I probably would have ordered something else.
The restaurant is small and can get noisy if there are a lot of large parties. We did experience the large parties and the loudness. Our food was slightly delayed due to all the large parties.
There is not parking lot. Street parking only. In the middle of summer they can be a challenge. The hostess did mention you can park in Uncle Bills Pancake House lot (no signs indicating such and all signs say you will be towed if not a customer)
Overall I will come back. Maybe in the offseason. The food and...
