Sea Shell Ice Cream is one of my favorite places to visit in the Wildwoods. The outside of the store is adorable with bright yellow trim and little window boxes. It also helps you to notice the building when driving down busy Rio Avenue. They have a handful of offstreet parking spaces adjacent to the building. Inside, the place is equally adorable with bright yellow walls, globe lights, ice-cream parlor tables and chairs in a fair-sized seating area. it was greeted by a nice young man who was very polite and smiling. The flavor selection is amazing, and they have things that are not ordinary, like cold brew chip. I’m guessing there are around 30 flavors to choose from. I ordered a dish of ice cream with cold brew chip and chocolate peanut butter. There was a ton of peanut butter in the latter!! The price for my dish was $7, but that didn’t seem out of line considering how big it was and the quality of what I got. it was delicious, and I will definitely be back when I visit the...
Read morePro: Ice cream was ok and the glass of water is nice. Cons: there are NO kid sizes and they don't mention that when you are sitting there with 3 very small children and you are trying to tell them you want the tiniest possible scoop of ice cream because they can't eat more than that. The waitress (because if you want to sit down in the air conditioning you are going to pay for table service) while friendly, was not helpful with ordering and was clearly overwhelmed with the amount of tables she had as we had to flag her down if we needed something. Btw it is also crazy expensive. They charge you 1.00 for a waffle cone that they pulled out of a box on top of the 6 dollar giant globes of ice cream they serve. The root beer is also not good quality as we tried one of their root beer floats. Oh yes and their atm is behind the building in a poorly lit area backed up to a hotel that honestly felt not very...
Read moreBEWARE of PARKING! Been coming to Sea Shell since I was a child. Up until a year or so ago there was parking in front of Sea Shell and across the street at the Sunshine Motel. So we parked as we have many times in the past. Well the owners of Sunshine blocked our car in and made us pay $10 for taking up a spot (10 mins Max) and say that we are costing them business. Now in fairness there are two small signs that say Sunshine guests only. I explained it was my fault not seeing sign but previously it was Sea Shell parking. And three members of the family of the owner came out arguing and saying we owed $10 (completely arbitrary number) and they took a space with their own car to purposely block us! And I even paid the $10 bc I felt I was in the wrong and they were still arguing! Sorry Sea Shell, but you may have lost a customer due to...
