Arrived at 8:15 PM. Not super busy in the bar or dining areas. We ordered a couple pasta dishes and a child’s pasta and 2 child’s cheeseburgers. Cheeseburgers arrived before our salads at 20 minutes. Which you might think was a good thing, but salads arrive 10 minutes later. This is where the wait begins. First pasta dish arrives (chicken parm pasta) after 40 minutes. 50 minutes into our meal, I ask about the kids pasta and the lasagna, again. Waiter looks confusedly at me and says he’ll be right back. Manager/bartender comes up to me and asks what’s wrong. I state we haven’t gotten the kids pasta or lasagna we ordered. He says, you want a discount or just not get the food. All the while I witness the next table get their lasagna when they arrived after me. Seeing as we were there for about an hour and a half without two meals being delivered…overall 1 star. I voted to not wait for the lasagna to be prepared. Kids pasta came out as we paid. I will say that the pasta dish was gigantic. However, not much chicken in the dish. Kids pasta is pathetic.

We went to the Brickhouse Tavern on a Sunday because our hotel restaurant was closed. What the heck!. Anyway we went on a whim and because Google had named it one of the top places to go to watch a NFL football game. I kept thinking to myself what has a Tavern to do with football? Well, I found out it had everything to do with football with screens everywhere that I turned and a football game from every region on all the tv's you could not miss 1 game if you wanted to. Some of the best people we have met worked there helping to take our orders and to create an nfl atmosphere with fantastic food and great camaraderie. Fans from all football teams were there wearing their gear and we met some great people from the state of North Carolina. Don't miss out on a good time by not going there. Pack up your fun and bring it with you to the Brickhouse Tavern Williamsburg. You won't be sorry! 🙂

Brickhouse Tavern, Williamsburg, has a great atmosphere with lots of food options at adequate prices that's open "late" in the Williamsburg area. I'm assuming it's a local chain as they have a few locations, support tons of local brews and offer many unique draught beers you may not always see elsewhere. My table ordered quite a bit of food. The highlights were the Brickhouse calzone, which was ordered with alfredo instead of pizza sauce, the onion rings, the salad, the jalepeño poppers, and the mac n cheese bites (our table's favorite). Overall, Brickhouse Tavern didn't disappoint as a late-night food and beer grab! No fancy sauces or gourmet garnishes, just plain tavern food for the most part, which was made well and not overcomplicated. My only complaint is that my ordered draught Guinness was served in a plastic cup, which seemed to have completely changed the flavor.

My family and I decided to eat here around 6-6:30 on a Saturday. The place was essentially dead (its summer time) and it seemed like they couldnt decide who was going to take care of us. We sat down and we were immediately hit with how uncomfortable it was inside..no fans? No ac? On a 98° day? Now onto the food, we ordered wings ($15.95) and they were the high point of the meal. The brickhouse burger ($13.50) was "bland" and had to be smothered in ketchup. The Italian sub ($11.95) was drowned in mayo but was "okay". We ordered the Brickhouse combination ($13.95) and it came with mozzarella sticks even though they told us they didnt have any mozzerella sticks when another member of our group tried to order some. When asked why this happened they were obviously confused. We also got the veggie wrap ($11.90) that was "soggy" but edible. Some of our onion rings were cold and some were hot and fresh. They also said they were out of pasta salad which was confirmed when the manager came out to check on our complaint. I honestly wasn't going to complain until they put my salad down with no dressing, not even the waitress noticed and I had to grab her attention to get some. We got the brick house sliders and they came burnt to a crisp, bread and all. When the manger/cook came out, he could obviously tell they were burnt so I don't understand how they came even came out of the kitchen yhat way. The food came out randomly and scattered..... Ultimately we were very unimpressed with overall quality and service of the restaurant. I think the other reviews were made by shloshed patrons that ordered the wings. If you do come, come when its busy and hope for a better experience. On the bright side the management handled the situation well and took some of the inedible stuff off the bill and comped...

  • DO NOT COME HERE * They can not get any order right. I came here with a group of five tonight. This place is only good for ordering a bottle of beer. They couldn’t get our water order right, no ketchup with fries, messed up Caesar salads for house salads (then the worker tossed dressing on the table as if he was doing us a favor - very rude), also who serves no celery or carrots with the wings (atleast they provided bleu cheese), forgot the meatballs on the spaghetti (also who in the world serves super hot spaghetti on a real plate with plasticware), the last two entrees were served after everybody else was finished eating (complete confusion between our waitress and other workers on where our food was at), one of my friends made it clear they would like sweet potato fries because it was reiterated. Then when the normal French fries were brought out, we corrected the order. But the waitress was attempting to argue that she was right and we were wrong. And don’t even think about ordering wine here. Clearly this is not the place to order wine but hey it’s on their menu but it comes out in a plastic solo cup about 20% full, what a joke for $7. The manager needs to address his workers because the service horrible. The list goes on but I could care less to waste more energy on this place. If you’re looking for a place to eat, don’t come here.. If you want cheap bottled beer, sure come ahead but they’ll probably find a way to mess that up as well. Management, I pray you fix your restaurant. This place is an absolute joke of an establishment and poorly represents...

Not impressed. Now back from Vacation to write the review Where to begin... at first we thought on a Friday it might be busy, as having just driven down for a weeks vacation from Boston, we called and were pleasantly surprised with a "hell no" if they were busy and did we need to put in a reservation...

Initial observations, other than having to enter thru the Smoking Patio, was pleasantly surprising for COVID protocols.

Ordered our drinks while browsing the menu, Waiter returned with wifes drink and informed me they ran out of the beer earlier in the week. OK - next one... 10 min's later [now the Bar did not seem that busy, yet we noticed only 2 servers] my beer arrives and we order dinner.

Dinner arrives - not our waiter and we tell him, we need silverware and condiments [Mustard/Ketchup] 15 min's later - still no silverware nor condiments and the Onion Rings [Good] and Fries [sadly must have been sitting iwaiting - poor] are now getting cold and we figure we will nibble away, while waiting... we finally see our waiter and indicate the need for condiments and silverwear.. No idea where the server went to [must have gone to the store]

Burgers were dry, roll very dry and barely any raw onion or mayo on them. Wife then needed some water due to the dry roll, another 15 min wait with our waiter and I went up to the bar and go her the water...

Meanwhile they are getting busier and now seating people closer and closer [Non COVID rules] - time to escape and not return...

YMMV but our experience is we would not return upon our next visit, more of...
