Went for a lunch on a Wednesday with some coworkers, heard about Precarious but never been. It seems to more of a venue with 2 separate restaurants inside. Neat concept I guess, but they seem to think very highly of everything based on their prices. Ol’ Domjnon has a simple menu, easy to order and was very quick with the order. I got a Black&Blue cheese burger, Fries and a Coke, 22$ with tip. The burger was good, although I missed the Mushrooms on the menu, probably could have done without sautéed Mushrooms, but my fault. The fresh cut fries were the star of the plate, they were fantastic, although you have to order them as a side dish, the 5$ price I feel like was worth it because of the portion and delicious taste. I was disappointed when I ordered a Coke for 3$ and was given a normal 12oz can…definitely a rip off, a fountain drink would have been more appropriate at that price point. In all, not a bad lunch spot, I’m sure in the evenings or weekends the place is lively as it seems to revolve around the bar and the food is secondary in the business scheme. Will try the Taco joint next time I visit.

Overall: 2/5 it does not know its identity. Seemed like it tried to go an old style diner burger yet had fancy modern flavor profiles that did not hit the mark. Food: 2/5 the burgers and fries were not worth it. Above average for price and the amount of food you get. The Creeper meant to be spicy, but completely lacked any heat and couldn’t even tell if it had any flavor. The Veggie burger fell apart and somehow was overcooked. The fries were simply crinkle cut and had Cajun/Old bay seasoning for $5. Way overpriced for these! Atmosphere: 3/5 great place to hangout since it’s styled like a food hall. They had games, some restaurants, and good seating inside with limited outside. It can get very noisy here. Service: 1/5 not sure if it was the timing of the season and day, but it took an extremely long time to order our food (<30 minutes on Sunday around 1300). It then took around another 25 minutes for the burgers to come out.

Food was awesome! We stopped in on a whim knowing nothing about the area. We had burgers, wings, and fries. They were doing trivia in the back and it was a packed house! Vibe was really cool. Complimentary water station which I thought was nice for people traveling, looking to refill their water bottle. Arcade games were great! If we are back in town, this is somewhere I’d definitely return.

Very, very expensive burgers that weren't even worth it in the end. The eating area isn't great in my opinion, because it's so SO loud (I have autism and sometimes loud spaces are comforting to me but there was just so much going on that I had to go sit outside to eat so that I didn't have a panic attack). They were acceptable taste-wise, the fries were alright, but for $10 and $6 respectively, it should have tasted better than that. In addition to a burger and fries, I also got to take home food poisoning that hit me at 6am and had me in and out of the bathroom for 2 hours. I also got a Bonus panic attack from this, because my anxiety causes indigestion, and indigestion causes anxiety, so I also got to experience ~150bmp, cold sweats, and uncontrollable trembling. The only other burger place I've eaten at that has been so disappointing is Burger King, which also gave me food poisoning the last 3 times I got a burger from them (all many years ago). I ate at Ol' Dominion Burger yesterday, got hit with the food poisoning this morning, and I still feel like garbage and have been unable to eat and it's now 9pm. I just feel very hurt and mad that I trusted food from somewhere and was essentially punished for it. I am very careful with where I eat because I am understandably terrified of having a food-caused panic attack like this. It really sucks and and I hope nobody has to experience this feeling. I am still so anxious and I feel weak. This is a warning if you have anxiety like mine or are not immune to food poisoning, like I am not, do not eat here. I still do not know what they had to have done to their burger to give me food poisoning. I just ate some beef a couple weeks ago that I forgot about and left to thaw for 24 hours at 65°F and I had no issues. I make and eat thick, rare burgers and do not get sick. What could they possibly have done to this burger????

PS Sorry for the Autism Ramble Paragraph, that's just how I am

TL;DR if you never get food poisoning from anywhere, ever, you're probably fine, I guess, but the burger and fries are still not worth $10 and $6 for the quality.

Edit: After looking through other reviews and noticing a pattern of the owner giving very crude, distasteful replies specifically to 1 star reviews, if you are only going to do that here, don't bother, I don't want any of your unwarranted sass. You're not funny, cute, or cool, this isn't Wendy's Twitter. You're a bad owner with no sense of...

First time ! really enjoyed the burger I got the ODB. The fries were very well seasoned and deliciously crispy. The dirty sauce had a little kick to it that differentiates it from the normal burger sauce that you would get. My only issue was that I asked for onions to be added to my burger and was told that they can't do that. "Can't " I asked? Yes we can only take things off but we can't put things on. Not the poor order takers fault just doing what they have been told so I asked for the manager and he repeated the same mantra. I asked if I could just have onion on the side and I'll put it on myself which he eventually agreed to which is rather silly. Simple Solution add a build your own Burger to the menu with the ingredients that you have available of course within reason. Do that and the rating would be four out of five. I've worked in food service for many years and have friends who own restaurants they always tell me the answer is "yes " what is the question? "Can't "...
