Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Willoughby

Stay far away from this location unless you want poor customer service. I thought it might have been a training issue, however management confirmed that they are the problem.

Purchased a smoothie, took it to go, saw the lid wasn’t seated properly, while attempting to re seat it, I pressed down on it and the side of the foam cup cracked and it started leaking all over, I brought it back to the register and asked Tatiana to remake it, she laughed and giggled the whole time and said she would not remake it and I would have to wait for the manager to come in in a few hours, asked for their info directly she told me she couldn’t help me and condescendingly told me they would call me when they got in. They did not, 3hrs later I called back only to have the manager mock me and say we don’t remake smoothies if someone throws it in the garbage and retrieves it out of the garbage. Wasn’t sure how that applied, after several other analogies he finally offered to remake it if i came back right now, I explained to him this occurred 7 hrs ago and I wouldn’t be back today and he said would have to be the following morning and only if he was there. Finally had enough and discontinued the call. Will not return to this location, probably won’t matter when they’re out of business, manager should be fired for teaching his employees to be combative and not take care of their customers and vehemently defend their...

I ordered 2 pesto wraps and a mango smoothie. I watched the young man make my food using the same gloves he rung me up in. He kept those gloves in while he ate his own wrap and text on his phone. When my wraps came out the oven he proceeded to grab the chicken with his hand. I immediately told him it was inappropriate that he was eating food and text with gloves on let alone the same gloves he used to make a customers food. He asked if I wanted him to remake (of course) he snickered but remade it. Another employee (a teenage girl) apologized for him several times. Wow! What an awesome location. I am a regular Tropical Smoothie Cafe patron and have been to many locations, and this one honestly is very high up on the list - if not the top! We were greeted upon arrival and had the friendliest staff member help me. I made some modifications and it was no issue at all. Smoothie tastes delicious! She also walked out and handed it to me directly. She was just a really pleasant person which makes a great impact.

Separately, their restrooms are spotless! This is the cleanest restroom I think I have ever seen in a restaurant in my life lol… honestly it was shockingly clean. The entire place was very...
