Potbelly — Restaurant in Wilmington

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Mayfaire is a gem! The food here is simply delicious—every bite is packed with flavor, and the milkshakes? Out of this world! The service is also top-notch; the staff is friendly, efficient, and always willing to go the extra mile. The location itself is spotless, including the bathrooms, which are clean as a whistle.

Now, for one small hiccup that I've noticed compared to the other Potbelly location in Wilmington: the ordering process. It feels a bit counterintuitive. You place your order with the cooks, then have to repeat it to the salad maker, and finally a third time to the cashier. This can get a little frustrating, especially when you're with a larger group. The other Wilmington location lets you order directly at the cash register, then they make your food and call your name when it's ready—a much smoother system, in my opinion.

If the Mayfaire location could flip the line process to be more like the other Wilmington spot, it would be even more ideal. But honestly, the food and service here are so fantastic that I’ll gladly navigate the line just to enjoy another one of their incredible sandwiches, salads, and those...

This was our first time visiting this business. The variety of sandwich choices were nice as well as the sides. We ordered " the Wreck " & " the Cubano. The toasty multigrain bread was delicious. The meats as well as the veggies were completely tasteless on the Wreck. One expects to get the bite and flavor of fresh lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions- there was none. The ham, turkey ,and salami all blended into a mouth full of blah. I could not taste the smoked ham nor the salami. turkey tasted like the sliced prepackaged stuff from the grocery store. The Cubano had flavor and was ok. The restaurant was clean and the staff was warm, inviting and helpful as this was our first time eating at Potbelly. Today I placed a mobile order to Pot Belly but I accidentally ordered from the wrong location as I do order from but locations. One is closer to where I work and the other is closer to where I live. I ordered from the 17th street location and went to pick up my food at the Mayfair drive through location. When the employee and I figured out what happened, he got his (I assume) manager. Jonathan was so kind. He called the other store and cancelled my order for me. He then brought back the first employee (Jose) who took my order. The transaction went very smoothly and both Jonathan and Jose were very kind and professional.
